Just started my Automatic PPC campaign but ran into a roadblock with the product listing. I can't make the changes necessary to optimize the listing as it's brand controlled. So, I had to do some research on the company that owns the product. I've been hitting up LinkedIn and ZoomInfo. I called the company this morning, but the guy that's in charge of their online operations is off for the day, so I'll have to hit him up Monday to either ask him to make the recommended changes for me or have him somehow convince the catalog team to somehow give me permission to make the edits myself.

However, even with the suboptimized page listing, I'm getting sales. I have the daily budget for an automatic campaign at $30. I set my bid at $1 using the "Dynamic bids - down only" bidding. I've had four sales as of this morning since start it late Wednesday. I'm averaging a sale at about every 19 clicks. I'm not focused on turning a profit right now, I'm just collecting data to identify negative keywords and find buying keywords to put in a manual campaign. I had the budget at $25 yesterday but I ran out of budget around 9PM EST. If it runs out with $30, I'll bump it up by $5 increments until I can get it running 24/7. I won't make any changes until at least next Thursday.

My only gripe is they're taking a long time to make my full shipment available for my list. They only have a total of my 36 items marked as received. I have 15 on my listing and 20 under Reserved Quantity (2 Customer orders + 18 FC Transferring). Quantity is a sales metric that's taken into account.

I got lucky I guess. I pushed to budget to $50/day. I'm going to stay up and see if it lasts until 3AM. I'm $2.25 from running out of budget.

They have no day-parting. I like Ad Badger probably the most out of the automated PPC cloud based services, but they don't have it either.

Update:

Only made three sales over the weekend as of @ 11:34AM Sunday.

=====

A little over a day of using Ad Badger has bumped my CTR up by .4. More clicks. More potential for sales. I'm going to hammer Seller Support's Catalog & Feeds departments to get those changes in the listing if my call tomorrow to the brand owner isn't successful.

I moved my daily budget back down to $30. I'm going to keep it there and just be patient.

Amazon, thanks for the sales but fukk!!! I'm going to run out of that "narcotic" before Wednesday at this rate. They need to hurry up with the rest of my items.

This is what the payment page looks like with the fee breakdowns. It hasn't included my PPC spending yet.

I've spent $167.83, on PPC, as of 4:40PM since the May 1st for 13 sales.

shyt. I might not survive the night. I'm down to my last four in stock. I got the seller rating for this product form 380K to 18K in less than a week.

Addendum:
I wasn't paying attention. I was too busy looking at orders instead of looking closer at quantity of units. Someone purchased two units in one of the orders.

Finally. I was worried I was going to run out of that "narcotic". Looks like some of my product is arriving at the other FCs.

The fiends aren't fienin' as I've only made one sale as of 7:35PM EST. It's probably something I did as I had the bright idea to change the price early this morning. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Here's hoping I get at least three sales, so I'm not too much in the red at the close of day. I'm going to start putting some of these keyword phrases in the negative keyword list and start running a manual campaign when I reach 500 clicks or Thursday 3:01AM EST.

Just when you think you're in a slump . . . this happens after I click the "Post Reply" button. I keep forgetting that a lot of people are still at work out West. We might have a good day after all.

Got this in the inbox today. I'll see what advice/suggestions that the 'Zon is offering tomorrow.

I'm about a sale and a half away from $1K gross. I think the majority of those six today are from organic sales. I won't know until I run a search term report.

I've cut my click bid down by over a third. I'm not receiving as many impressions but my CTR has stayed steadily above .4%. However, if they're attributable to paid traffic, I've only spent $9.19. Some methods I've learned, from a small PPC automation service providers co-founders, I'll name later, has been stellar. I can't wait to get enough data to put those converting keywords in a manual campaign.

This is the naming system I use for my campaigns (my BEP is actually 31.45% as I forgot to include the monthly storage fee in my calculation):

ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) | Main Category | Campaign Type | Placement Types | Break Even Point | Amazon Marketplace Country

You don't immediately see sales/orders in the Campaign Manager until about 12 hours after an item has been shipped.

=====

As I was about to click the "Post Reply" button, when I received two more sales. I broke the $1k gross barrier. My BSR is currently around 24K. Will I get under 10K?

I also received one of my items to take higher quality photos.

P.S. I've been reading a lot of commentary on FBA subreddits and Seller Central forums. A lot of the successful people are increasing their prices due to Trump raising the tariffs. Some private label guys/girls have moved their manufacturing to Vietnam and are still raising their prices to reflect the 25% tariff increase. Americans, not the Chinese, are going to pay for this.

I had to contact support last night as Amazon didn't prep my package. They sent the box, containing my item, without air pillows inside. I suspect that's why I had a return as the item was damaged in transit to one of the buyers. If they give me some bullshyt, I'm going to call them out as I do a Subscribe & Save with a 100 ct. of Twinings Earl Grey everyone month. If they can ship a box of fukking tea bags with air pillows . . .

P.S. I want to send a thanks to everyone who has dapped and sent rep. Don't hesitate to ask questions no matter how obscure you may think they are. Your questions could inadvertently help me think of things I couldn't of thought alone or open up avenues I didn't see before. I was raised from the camp of "there are no dumb questions".

P.P.S. I also received 9 sales total before the end of the day.

I think it would help the newcomers if you explained your research process for finding profitable items and locking down suppliers
