Amazon to raise Prime subscription pricing in the US by $20-$40(update : raised to $99 yr)

I'm sitting on 8 free months due a glitch in their system and being charged twice so I'm good til the end of this year.

dont tell me that, they just emailed me the other day telling me to reup my prime account, everything went fine supposed to get billed in two weeks

It's strange I checked my credit card account with a deduction of $85 and change with tax for Amazon Prime. Then went to Amazon.com to see what happened and got the letter when I went and click on Amazon Student. The funny thing is they never said anything that it will expire at a certain time frame. I guess they feel I ate enough with the student membership.
I am still thirsty to order though .

I feel like if I had Prime, it'd force me to spend more money than I should just cause I know I'll get free shipping.

exactly what it did for me, especially when i had the app on my phone. i'd sit in class and just order shyt cuz i could.

i fukked up in rad school by putting i was in grad school, i should've said undergrad, i coulda got 4-years in before they asked for proof. but i use amazon considerably less now that i don't have prime

i guess i look at it different...i use prime mostly for video...so $120/yr doesnt bother me for all i get....theres people that pay that a month for cable/dish...

but netflix is 8*12 ...... 96/year

True that, I been shopping on Amazon since the late 90s. Their service and return policy is above & beyond. I hardly want to go into a real store anymore, it's more convenient to shop online to find what I want then have it shipped to me. I was paying for Prime before they came out with Amazon student and will continue to do so. Just got used to paying for Prime at half price.
