Once again I ask

These "jobs" that would be created

Would they have gone to NYers? People from Queens? People from Flatbush? East New York? Brownsville? Crown Heights?

Nope? Yeah I thought so...unless Besos GURANTEED that all hires would be from NY residents who could prove they have lived there for a certain time or something of that nature, fukk outta here
More than likely a majority of the jobs would have gone to qualified workers in NY area.

nope, tech companies like amazon attract talent from all over the country. people pick up to move for amazon, google, facebook, apple, etc. jobs. these jobs amazon was touting wasn't going to do anything but bring more highly educated, already high earning (or those with high earning potential - i.e. harvard/stanford/MIT grads) professionals to LIC/Queens. at best it might attract some of those types from other companies who already live in NY, but the types of jobs these were and the pool of talent who would fill them did not warrant the incentives they were being given.

I work for a big 3 and I'll respectfully disagree. While it holds true for HQ or the primary campus, it just didn't hold for satellite and other campuses.

You'll see a lot of managers and higher level engineers/PMs/etc move to head up teams, But there will be a large amount of local talent who will be hired on. That will be a mixture of vendors, grads, and people moving back closer to home who moved out west previously. :manny:

yeah...cause that area needs development and NYC needs diversification in their economy. More people are leaving the North East.
Oh is that what it needs? Is that what the long time residents of this city need?

More "development"? and "luxury condos"?

fukk you're so out of touch it's scary
