breh, they will hire from NYU and Columbia, and a few types of roles may be sourced from SUNY schools, otherwise they'll take the best talent and if that talent is coming from other geos, that's who gets the job. yall can keep arguing hypotheticals when i live, work, and do hiring in the epicenter of this industry.

Add to that those NYU and Columbia Grads aren't from here either..... shyt neither are the majority of SUNY students.

That's the goal in every state. Provide jobs that keep the top talented students educated in your state in your state.

As a hiring manager/recruiter you'll likely see more diversity among older hires who have work experience and aren't fresh out.

I’m gonna assume people get it, but blaming big business feels better.
