I think a couple making $120k together and budgeting well will be just as comfortable, just less extravagant. It's also much easier to obtain $60k salary.

My job is 40 miles away from the crib. 80 miles around trip and about 350 miles a week just to work and back when best believe I occasionally go other places.

Don't follow The Coli and they still driving in cars made in 98 where it randomly breaks down going to work. Go buy cars in police auctions and go to the official dealership for maintaining it.

I did calculate taxes, you don't think 123k is a lot of money to blow on small expenses that will get you to a lifestyle way beyond comfortable?

100k is 1900 a month @ 6%.
just between the car and housing you are over 6k a month. No retirement, no savings, no food, no insurances including car, no vacations, no clothing, no gas, no subscriptions. In 2023 dollars...its COMFORTABLE but not what people think.
