On first listen, I don't hate any of the tracks. They're all enjoyable. But I don't absolutely looooooooove any of the tracks like I did on the first listen of the last 3 albums. I mean, the first time I heard the opening lines, "A bird with the word came down to me" I was hooked. I think a few will grow on me with a few more spins.

Bottom line: .Paak doesn't really need features. I want all .Paak all the time. I did actually enjoy the contributions by Kendrick, Snoop, Q-Tip and BJ but none of them seem necessary.

Maybe I'll change my mind later but it seems like there might have been too many cooks in the kitchen on this one. I wonder what percentage of creative control AP had?

Can't argue with the quality of the mixing and production. Crisp crisp crisp.

Yeah I dunno who this new Mell cat is that's working with Dre but the direction they're going together ain't the one.

I wouldn't say its trash but it's not what I wanna hear from the doctor.

Perfect synopsis. I def like the album but i already kno its not gonna get a ton of spins in my crib

And yea there were def too many producers involved...you can tell from the obvious lack of cohesion between the tracks. Material def not as strong or memorable as previous album

Out of the features only BJ and Kendrick were necessary altho Snoop came thru

Other than "Mansa Munsa" I really like this album. Hopefully that track grows on me.

Didn't Dre learn from the poor feedback and sales of Compton that NO ONE wants to hear him rap like that :scusthov:

It’s a sad day when my favorite producer is putting out shyt like this :mjcry: I was excited to see his name in the actual producer credit and he had the worst beats on the album. Not fathomable 10 years ago. Compton is still my all time most disappointing album, wish it never existed
