It's disgusting how Big Boi doesn't get the respect that Andre does, when he does everything people want from Andre

He released two solo rap albums that are great, yet nikkas still sucking Andre dikk when he out here acting like a shook one too scared to drop a solo rap album because he knows he can't do it by himself.

Big Boi constantly drops dope solo music yet is always overlooked for some weirdo/sissy dressing nikka with Asperger.

I wouldn't go as far as the thread title but the disparity between the two's fanbases and standing in Hip-Hop is a perfect example of groupthink, hype and shows how many casual fans just jumped onto the Outkast bandwagon because Andre 3000 was dressing weird.

I'll never understand how they're the most commercially successful duo ever, but Andre 3000 is one of those video game boss features everyone wants yet Big Boi is rapping his ass off to this day and doesn't get his just due....and they were spitting neck and neck. Neither is substantially better than the other or was carrying the other, but their notoriety would make it seem otherwise. It is threadworthy

Now, I agree on your point that Big Boi is overlooked and underrated, but you don't have to shyt on Dre in the process of appreciating Big Boi, especially since he comes off as one of the most humble cats in Hip Hop.

big boi is a great artist as is andre 3000 but big boi is definitely underrated when people often times compare him and andre 3000
big boi definitely deserves more props and recognition than he gets. especially considerin' he's got 2 really great solo albums to his name outside of his outkast work
both of his solo albums been my 2 of my favorite albums of the last 5 years

I think they are equal as rappers, but imagine if Em shouted out Big Boi on Till I Collapse instead of Andre, I really think Big Boi would have been considered the best of the two. That verse from Em had a big impact.
