Why do people wanna talk about singing and producing, we talking about Hip Hop, not best singer or producer.

So Cal
Thing is..u counting OUTKAST material as DRE material and thats the point u not fukkin gettin...u missing THE WHOLE fukking point...it dont matter if LOX had 2 group albums before Jada dropped his solo...point is that peoples perception of Kiss CHANGED after his solo albums dropped...peoples perception of STYLES changed after his solo shyt dropped..if they NEVER dropped solo material..people would have never got to see what they were made of as hip hop artists and what they truly was about...ANDRE aint got 7 albums nikka...OUTKAST does..problem is u one of them nikkas who act like Dre was the end all be all in that fukkin group...he wasnt..isnt..and never was...when I count in Andre's greatness...I put it in perpective of the group..cause thats ALL he has enabled me to do...the nikka has NO solo hip hop work..no album..no song..no nothing...how do we know he wouldnt fall flat on his face as a solo artist?..what if he dropped his solo hip hop album and it was straight garbage?...would that mean Andre is wack?..no..would that mean Andre is not great?..no...but it DAMN sure wouldnt put him on Nas' level...who been doin the shyt dolo for 20+ years and made HIS OWN mark as one of the greatest in this hip hop shyt...u can like Andre's style more...u can favor Andre more...he could even be ur number 1 fav rapper..but in the grand scheme of things...he's not complete enough to compete with the GOATs of the genre..period..

:camby:fukk outta here with that retarded ass logic bruh. Comparing dre to fukking jadakiss. Yaw nikkas even heard a dre verse? Dre aint no fukking rookie, the nikka been rapping for decades. If he ain't that nikka, go and find me some wack verses bruh. And no I'm not one of them nikkas who think dre=outkast. Big boi > nas too, but that ain't the question. You bringing up shyt that ain't got shyt to do with shyt. Dre can't be the greatest, but biggie can? Because dre is in a group? How the fukk does that make sense? It ain't dre fault that firm shyt flopped. I thought nikkas was smarter on this board, but yaw worst than them ktt nikkas. If you can't tell what type of rapper dre is by now, you a dumbass. Period.

Is this how you Nas stans defend your arguments? "im done..."? Really? You had absolutely nothing to debunk from his argument so you cowered away. Why the hell should Dre being in a group detract away from the verses he was spitting? Did Big Boi or other member of the Dungeon Family co-write his verses? Was he not spitting the same structured 16-bar verses as every other solo artists does? It's an absolutely nonsensical position to argue from if that's your main reason for claiming that Dre isn't better than Nas.

Outside of Nas' fan-base, who really feels like he's produced albums of the standard of which was expected of him after he dropped Illmatic? The guy has spent twenty years trying to "make another Illmatic". The proof is that after this year goes by, you will never get the Tribeca recruiting Nas to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of It Was Written, I Am..., Nastradamus, or any other album. Heck, this year marks the tenth anniversary of Street's Disciple and that shyt has gone by unnoticed. So how significant really are Nas' solo albums in justifying why he's a better rapper than Dre?

Nas isn't seeing Dre in the skills department, certainly not in the sales department, and most certainly not as a complete artist; so what really is Nas better than Dre at that makes him the better rapper?

Negged. Most people? Get the fukk outta here. :camby:

Nas doesn't even use big words, Nas ain't that type of MC what the fukk are you saying. Nas has some great interviews and some terrible ones depends whether he's sober or not. :pachaha:

:dead: at this nikka making it seem like Nas raps like Keith Murray!

:mjlol: at Nas not seeing Andre. First of all they're completely different MC's stylistically if we're getting down to skills. One trait they do share is storytelling ability, and Nas has so many amazing concept songs and street epics that I wouldn't put him above. :manny:

:umad: Nas is thought of being better than Hov because he's aged more gracefully as an MC, he has better albums, Ether, wrote a legitimate G.O.A.T. contender in Illmatic, and peak to peak is a better lyricist. Don't try to twist this into Hov vs. Nas, because both Hov and Nas are a tier above Andre 3000.

:camby: I'd like to see a list by a publication where Andre 3000 is ahead of Nas or Hov, fukk outta here with this shytty ass opinion. Andre 3000 was at no point considered better than Nas, not in 1994 and not in 2014 either. Many Southern nikkas wouldn't even put Dre above Scarface. :stopitslime:

Let's be real Andre is a great MC, personally I'd put him between 15-20 if I had a list he's the same as Black Thought to me. Never had a solo, but an amazing MC, that's remained consistent. The nikka can't sing for shyt by the way.

I'm not even going to bother arguing with you Nas stans because then I'll be dealing with circular reasoning. How'd this topic go from justifying why Dre is better Nas as a skilled emcee, to posting a "publication" that lists Dre ahead of Nas? If your criteria for judging who the best emcee is based on where they are ranked in most publications list then I can list plenty of rappers who are better than Nas. And most of these lists posted by magazines like Complex and The Source magazine aren't reflected of the magazine per say, but rather the view of the particular publisher of the article--which is just ONE person.

3000's lack of a solo project outside of TLB is irrelevant as is naS lack of a group album. We really talkin about shyt that doesnt matter. All you have to do is substitute the name of the rapper to understand that point... are these same nikkaz usin that argument going to say Cornmega is better than Dre Stacks simply because he has solos? I should hope not. Dre is simply the better rapper and artist. You can tell by when he drops a verse its simply better than naS shyt. He has a better command of everything he is trying to do.

He has far more advanced lyricism and thought processes, he's more subtle, no smart-dumb nikka shyt... just flat out better in every facet of rapping.

:what: nikka u serious?...I don't care how dope his 16s were...I broke down the ENTIRE reason why I feel Andre not branching out solo effects his standing...I explained why it's not fair considering it's only a verse on songs vs doing the whole shyt urself...nikka I KNOW the difference first hand from being in a group and being solo...for some artists..it holds them back..for other artists...they shine...Andre didn't feel like he could shine on his own...Nas does..and always has...now u just uttered some of the dumbest shyt in this thread...same as the other nikka...how the fukk has he tried to make "another Illmatic" his entire career when he's been literally getting criticized for NOT making another Illmatic his entire career?..he hasn't even attempted to go back to that sound again and he's continuously criticized for it...Nas is better at rapping..he shown and proved he can do more with rap than Andre has shown so far...going off of the output ive seen from both artists....Nas wins..no question...
