Wish he was our governor, we ready for a black prez again?
I see, so you guys still dont remember how Obama came out of no where just about. There is no real difference between Obama and Gill except for Gill is more known now then Obama was before he got the spotlight off of one speech.Gillum is more of an organizational, operative kind of candidate. If he wants to win on the national stage he needs a lot more time to build up his brand.
Beto is in a similar position to Gillum, but Beto has the speaker/soundbite thing to his advantage. What Gillum got by organizing and networking, Beto got by media exposure which made him much closer to being a household name.
I'm not sure either is the right guy as the head of the ticket, but I see Beto as having more ability to pull weight in a candidacy quickly than Gillum has. Beto could be on the 2020 ticket with Kamala Harris or some other established Senator or Governor like that and would get a lot of positive buzz for the race, while Gillum should be increasing his national exposure and hopefully winning a senate or governor seat in preparation for a 2028 or 2032 run if the presidency is really what he wants to aim for.
america was never supposed to elect the first one EVER. so never say never. you have no idea what america is going to do. If the youth roll with him. its over. They have more than enough to supplant that racist vote.America will never elect another black president, at least not for the foreseeable future

You have to remember. social media is real now. it was not on this level when obama first ran. you have no idea who will get the love if going for the white house.
but no one was following obama post that speech. the speech put him on the map similar to how Gill's recent run put him on the map. Obama's hype did not follow him after that speech. it went to sleep in hibernation. it came back up once he actually ran for prez. him being a senator was just something to put on the resume when we the people still cared about your resume before you became prez. thats gone now thanks to your current idiot in the WH. Any human being can become prez now. literally ANY. As long as he/she is charismatic enough, can be quick on their feet in a debate(doesnt have to be a mud slinger but has to be quick and witty.) And lastly, similar to Obama. Gill is a good looking dude to white women. White women will vote for a good looking dude, especially a good looking bruh. thats the real reason why they voted for obama. remember americans are silly for the most part. we vote for the dumbest reasons. and thats one of them. All this "he needs to do this political thing first" is old hat. trump blew that up and out of the water. Two issues there.
One is that Obama was known and then able to ramp up his popularity heavy cause he was a dynamic speaker. Gillum hasn't made that splash yet.
Second is that Obama was a U.S. Senator for FOUR YEARS before he ran for president. You say that Gillum is more known than Obama was before that speech, but that speech came in 2004, FOUR YEARS before he ran for president. Gillum's only got 2 years before the 2020 elections, he ain't got no national platform, he's never been a senator or governor, and he doesn't have that Obama speech moment. Obama was already way bigger in 2004 than Gillum can be.
The one thing they have in common is that they're both strong political organizers. But Gillum's spent his career organizing a Florida base, it takes a lot of work to ramp up national. Don't make him shoot his shot before his time is ready, not everything is about 2020. Let him get a bigger national stage (hopefully by winning a governorship or senate seat in 2022), and then build that base so he's ready in 2028 or something.
back to 2004 obama. obama was not bigger than then gil is now.
You better explain this "your" shyt in an acceptable way or you got a neg coming.but no one was following obama post that speech. the speech put him on the map similar to how Gill's recent run put him on the map. back to 2004 obama. obama was not bigger than then gil is now. it has nothing to do with how you felt about obama back then. how did the masses feel about him back then? the masses never heard of him. a select few of us heard that speech and was like OK OK this dude is kinda nice right here. keep an eye on him.
Gil + current day media = automatically more pub nationally than obama got in 2004. you have to take that into consideration. put it this way. I'm in Cali and I knew about Gill and followed him during his run. I was late on that obama speech. I didnt even hear it when it went down i heard it a year or so later by happenstance. thats because there was no social media pushing it like they push everything thats the new hype.
Gil could run and actually win. AOC could run and actually win,Beto could run and actually win. Thanks to your friend trump and the current day media. it takes nothing to blow up nationally. you dont need to do the resume political stuff like you use to in order to be seen as viable. remember people actually thought the porn stars lawyer was a viable option just because he had two or three good jabs on twitter with trump. the bar has been severely lowered. throw that old playbook out of the window.
Okay, let's run this down real clear-like.

Don't sleep on Julian Castro either2020 - Biden/Beto
2024 - Beto/Gillum (or a woman)
2028 - repeat of 2024
I have a hard time imagining the Dems running with two guys that fresh. Usually older candidates pick a young running mate and vice-versa. Having two guys on the ticket who both have never won a statewide race seems unlikely.Gillum would be a pretty good VP choice. I don't think he'd win the nom over someone like Beto, but a Beto Gillum ticket sounds formidable.
Who makes any Castro buzz? I legit never hear it. It gives me the feel of one of those "Young Democratic Stars!" the party picks out who never amount to anything.Don't sleep on Julian Castro either
Castro>>>>Beto
