Dems mistake was allowing the Republicans to frame the issue. Dems should have shown empathy to migrants instead of trying to out conservative the Republican Party on the issue. The same empathy they should have shown to Palestine.
They should have given the country a real choice. When Republicans appeal to people’s worst instincts, they should have done the opposite. Instead they chose to be diet Republicans.
Why would they be against a Trump when he is saying and doing everything they want? Progressives would jump through fire for Bernie because he says and promises to do everything we want.
