if the bar is too high then studios try to get 1) 'creative' and miss the mark in ways no one ever thought of or 2) push out something knowing it can't compete with but loading it with lame callbacks and fanservice just to get dvd sales up

I fukked with Tenjo Tenge but I remember the manga pissing me off towards the end but can't remember why. I think I hated the main dude lol. Great art though, Oh Great! can kill them double page spreads.

Tokyo Ghoul deserves a proper adaptation. I know emo dudes and soundcloud rappers love the anime but it's terrible compared to the manga.
