This is like going to Hell to light a cigarette. Invoking Roe v Wade as an example makes this shyt even MORE ridiculous:dead:

you were the one who brought up legalities. that's a dumb ass argument to me considering legalities aren't set in stone :yeshrug: i was just pointing out that if even what people consider fundamental constitutional laws can change, then probably so can a law that you invoked where you aren't even sure if it's a law or not lol

Ultimately Her point is moot, because as you said it's illegal.

but if it was legal i don't think it would as challenging to implement as you are making it out to be.
This isn't the 90s anymore every school has an IT department. people that manage the website and the online work submission portals etc,
Would take less than a day to install cell jammers like this in every classroom.

would low key be easy if it was legal

We gonna keeping fight students or will admit this phone taking strategy isn't working?

Send their ass home if they don't wanna pay attention. she literally only had 2 minutes left of school that day anyway.
I hear you but it's crazy how it went from "just let her take her phone back" to "stop taking phones entirely"

At what point do the adults exercise their authority, do they have any?

Even then it's all extra as hell:russ:

This shyt could all be solved with a 5 minute meeting but I already spoke on teacher egos :russ:

yall in here talking about phone this, phone that

shorty got up off the floor clearly screaming dont talk about my momma

teacher deserved them hands if she was talking sideways about the girls mother :manny:

Ma'am, you are on the Coli. Narrative>reality

Let them keep the phone. Give them a zero.

Win win :unimpressed:

If that’s the case :unimpressed:

Interview with the teacher she point blank says it was over a cell phone.

Now, you can say she's lying I guess but given what we've seen recently :manny: I'm gonna believe the teacher.

SMH we need some more healthy teachers. Imagine a 8the grader whooping your ass as a 30+ year old :russ: :russ: :russ: I would pure choke slam they ass immediately at the square up

Also this. Most of these people are washed. When I was at Westport a student accidentally hit the principal while he was trying to break up a fight....principal body slammed buddy face first into the ground. :mjlol:

Imma go ahead and specify my suggestion.

Phones should be locked up prior to class starting.

Teachers should check to make sure no one has their phones prior to starting class.

If, for whatever reason, someone is caught with a phone, I don't suggest taking it. They should be written up or receive some type of failing grade.

Yea there definitely needs to be some new phone rules for school.

To protect both the teachers and the students for all this embarrassment and silly shyt.

Not sure if locking up phones would work longterm but would be a nice band aid. I was thinking hat is they blocked Wi-Fi or service but that would effect everyone and is unreasonable.

I think an app needs to be made and downloaded to all students phones that will disabled most of their features outside of emergency calls

i was gonna say are the posters in the thread also distracted by cell phone? lol, the article was posted that explained what happened, follow the thread and read up. then people wonder why the kids are like this when grown folks can barely pay attention as well.

but that goes to another point i was thinking, all studies show cell phones are addictive, not just to kids. even more of a reason to take a smarter approach then to consider it just a discipline issue.

You have the authority to tell the student to put up their phone or be removed. If the student still refuses you use the resources available to have them removed from the class

Physically taking the phone yourself is not one of those resources. Especially if you haven't done a push up since YO ass was in school:mjlol:

This shyt is REALLY simple y'all:pachaha: I get that people don't wanna see teachers get beat up but we gotta get past how shyt should be and focus on what is. And what "is" right now is if you wanna be top flight security and take it upon yourself to physically take a students $1000 phone, it's possible that you're gonna get hands put on you, in front of the world no less:manny:

Again this thing can be solved with a 5 minute meeting but it's turned into all this existential bullshyt because teachers got too much ego to get security involved:russ:

Exactly I mean I know we are flabby and old but we all survived hs without cell phones

Breh we had to deal with the confusion of 9/11 WITHOUT A CELL PHONE:mindblown:

I'm talking folks were stranded at the school due to the bus transit shutting down. Guess what this marsupial did? Crawled all the way home and magically my "step uncle" at the time picked me up within minutes of walking. God truly works in crazy ways, but with these children if a 5G or 4G tower were to get hacked...these little b*stards would freak out like generated AI:
