Nothing has changed since I was in HS. They reporting it like a pandemic. :mjlol: If you don't give up your phone, they call security and make you leave. A lot of these situations go further than they need to do due the teachers not conduct themselves well. There is no reason to touch a student past breaking a fght.

Now, you can say she's lying I guess but given what we've seen recently :manny: I'm gonna believe the teacher.
27 years on the job teaching these knuckleheads, yeah…. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt.

I think if she wasn’t so :flabbynsick:

Lemme shut up

Every school has a security staff. What we see is numerous videos of teachers NOT doing what they should’ve and THEN we see the resulting video.

We don’t see all the other videos of teachers just calling security and having the kid removed from class because there’s no incident to record as a result of doing that.

All this starts at home. And whats extremely funny is that people are trying to pin this blame everywhere else but on the parents. I listen to police scanners and have people i know in law enforcement, and the amount of domestic incidents between parents and children is on the rise.

So even if the schools get this phone thing right, the children will still end up losing when they get out into the world.

That's against against the law to block cell phone signal. FCC violation and all that.

i've already addressed this in the thread. laws change everyday. there's literally parents paying millions of dollars to try to influence courts/lawmakers to change education related issues like teaching about minorities issues, diversity enrollment considerations in higher education, etc.... and you all in here are like "no we could never block a cell phone signal for high schoolers, impossible! just suspend the kids "
and then you wonder why the other sides' kids is winning :francis:

WAKE UP!

Interview with the teacher she point blank says it was over a cell phone.

Good look. I don't doubt it started over a cellphone but the teacher wouldn't say on tv she talked shyt about a student's mom.

Since the girl in a video is screaming "don't talk about my momma" and not "don't touch my phone/give my phone back", it seems clear to me that what prompted the beatdown probably was the teacher's shyt talking :manny:

THIS IS AN EASILY FIXED SITUATION. LOCK THE PHONES UP. YOU GET CAUGHT WITH IT, YOU'RE OUT OF THAT CLASS FOR THE DAY.

YOU GET ESCORTED TO A HOLDING AREA UNTIL THE NEXT CLASS. IN THE HOLDING AREA, YOU WILL CHECK THE PHONE IN.

YOU ARE MARKED ABSENT AND RECEIVE AN F FOR WHATEVER ASSIGNMENT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT DAY.

KIDS NEED TO LEARN CONSEQUENCES EARLY. IF THE PARENTS HAVE A PROBLEM, HOME SCHOOL THEM.

Yeah, I’d rather give up my phone for an hour over giving up a year of my life. Another hard lesson learned…

what the teacher could do is stand at the door and make every child put their phone in a box as they enter the room. Hour goes by and you take your phone as you leave. Teacher established rule of law in his/her classroom. If you don’t like it…drop my class. Lose credit that’s on you.

It’s not phone taking. It’s a conditional release to enter the classroom. Every semester a teacher issues a syllabus. Put it in writing, and make it policy for the course. At the end of each period you get your phone back. It’s a one sized fits all thing. No one gets special privileges. No one takes priority. Teachers have to exercise control of their classrooms and if taking the phone out of the equation at the beginning and releasing it back to the student at the end keeps peace in the classroom it’s a win.

It’s a much better option than cutting Wi-Fi and shyt.
