These teams will face each other for the 3rd time over the last 4 postseasons. This dates back to the NBA Bubble in Orlando in 2020 where Miami defeated the Bucks in the East Semifinals on their way to the NBA Finals. In 2021, the Bucks swept the Heat en route to their first championship in 50 years.
The Bucks are the East's #1 seed and widely viewed as one of the two teams in the East to beat, the other being the reigning defending Eastern Conference champions in Boston.
The HEAT have one of the worst offenses in the NBA. They'll stay in games due to their defense. But with no threat at the PG position and inconsistent shooting from their littany of undrafted role players, the talent disparity has been shown on more nights than not this season. Kyle Lowry has not been himself and Duncan Robinson continues to not be playable with his albatross contract.
