Yeah, Gobert's situation doesn't really make sense, especially when his measurements came out and he's basically the "longest" player ever and there was a ton of footage on him from France. I think teams were shook he'd be another Saer Sene or some shyt, but he had been playing ball a long time already so I don't know what happened there. They really just dropped the ball on Gobert.

I saw the differences in Bruno and Giannis, the fact Giannis was basically playing PG in his league at his size should have told teams all they needed to know while Bruno was your standard SF that shoots 3s. Their skill bases were much much different, Giannis being able to handle the ball so much at 6'10" is rare.

Gobert had shytty workouts (which shouldn't be a big shock; that's not a setting for him to succeed)

Bennett has showed some flashes that he can play, but dude has personal issues like weight and I heard he had breathing problems too. He was never supposed to be a #1 pick, it was a terrible choice by the Cavs.
I think he had some sort of corrective surgery to fix his breathing.

The weight thing it looked like he was gonna keep that under control working in Shabazz's Navy Seal training. By the end of the year he was all doughy again while Bazz kept the weight off and beasted

Gobert use to have footwork problems, people were questioning his lateral movements. I thought we should have taken him smh

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
I've been following him since he was drafted, I'm still trying to make sense of it all.

He was an instant running joke the moment he was drafted.

Anthony is not very mentally tough and I know that killed him from the jump.

Keep in mind he was already rehabbing from a shoulder dislocation. He couldn't do any real court work that entire summer before the season started. He missed Summer League.

He was then rushed back to play in exhibition and then the season opener. He was no where near in game shape when the season started. Even when he went off against Orlando in the pre-season.

Dan Gilbert had a mandate that they make the playoffs. And he wanted to trot his #1 pick out there before he was physically at his best.

Remember him missing all those shots to start the season? He had no idea what he was doing. Combine that with his waning confidence and low bbiq. You've got a deer in head lights on steroids. He's a national disaster.

Mike Brown is probably the worst head coach for a rookie to start with. He doesn't know how to develop players. At all.

Do you remember how toxic that locker room was last year? You've got Dion and Kyrie constantly going at it. Kyrie and Delly fighting each other in practice. Andrew Bynum being Andrew Bynum. Tyler Zeller being a rat and telling the media all about it. It was a horrible environment to be in.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
his top of the key jumper is actually pretty good. The issue there is that sometimes Bennett thought Flip ONLY wanted him to take that shot and Flip's mantra is "if it's an open shot, take it." Bennett took that to heart and would shoot it no matter what or when, to the point where he didn't do shyt else if that shot wasn't there. He was like Uncle Jesse in Full House with his "sweet spot"

Anthony's game right now centers around the worst shot in basketball, the long 2 :francis:

The Deng trade didn't help either.
