If your saying Lakers is taking a gamble that he can get healthy that means other teams see it as a gamble as well, and if he doesn’t get healthy it wouldn’t set back the Lakers as far back as other teams that don’t have a star player . His stock may not be that high right now considering his injuries

I’m saying it’s a gamble for the Lakers or any team takes that’s him on. Thankfully it’s just a one year deal at a cheap price, but for a lot of teams already over the cap, if he walks then they won’t have the cap space to sign anyone else of his caliber. Even if he balls out, then they might not want to pay the asking price that he’d essentially be looking for/was expected before he got injured. It’s essentially the situation Denver is in now and why they will have to pay Grant even if they don’t necessarily want to.

Even still, I’d take the gamble as long as I’m not giving up too much to get him. The only problem with that is other teams are desperate to get him as well which could drive up the asking price (CP3 this year compared to last year).

I am not disputing their contribution, although Dwight basically sat out the Houston series and the chip clinching game, I'm just sure that they are more, let alone way more important than KCP.
