I have terrible anxiety too. Talk to a doctor and get on klonopin. It changed my life. No more anxiety attacks.

The shyt's addictive though, so be warned. I figure being addicted to a drug is better than constant anxiety and anxiety attacks though.

Are u taking K everyday?

Man I was on ativan for 4 months everyday and didn't realize how addictive and destructive benzo can be, be really careful and never quit cold turkey.

Absolutely breh. I didn't believe it either at first. Read an article I think it was called "your brain on porn" and was kinda surprised at how applicable it appeared to be to my life. So I took a week off of masturbating and I shyt you not I felt like a young Goku after he returned from Snake Way. Not saying I don't masturbate anymore, but doing it every day definitely messes with your brain chemistry. Of course, everyone's brain is different so ymmv, but give it a shot for a few days. Worst case scenario is I'm wrong and you bust a fat 3-day saved up nut (no homo).

Exercise is good, try to get fresh air daily, 30 minutes of direct sunlight daily. Posture is very important, don't slouch or hunch. Breathe into your belly, try to make your belly bigger and smaller when you breathe. Do not breathe into your chest like how the doctor asks you when he puts the stethoscope on your back. When you breathe, close your mouth and breathe through your nose. Relax your face, neck, jaw, tongue. The thing about anxiety attacks is it feels like you can't breathe and you struggle for air, but you actually have to much oxygen in you.

Try these breathing techniques.
1. Take a huge breath
2. Hold breath for 5-10 seconds
3. exhale 3 seconds inhale 3 seconds (the counts could be one one thousand two one thousand etc..)
do the 3 in 3 out for about 15 seconds and repeat sequence.

Second exercise
1. inhale 3 seconds
2. hold breath 1 second
3. exhale 5 seconds

There are other techniques I forgot about that I have written down somewhere. If I find them I'll post them.

1.5 mg everyday for years. I quit once with a ween, and the withdrawals were hell. Worst shyt ever. Shaking, anxiety attacks, etc.

Benzos aren't to be fukked with. I need them though :sadcam:

These shyts damn near had me paralyzed at one point, all kinds of fukked up.I still get em from time to time but def no near how it was. I usually get them when I drink coffee or smoke pot so I stay away from both. Like the others have said working out is great for it and also just gaining knowledge on the subject and learning what an anxiety attack actually is. Good luck bro the shyts no joke.

Only time you should get a panic attack is when you buy weed from mexicans. Anything besides that is p*ssy. nikkas in the house shook of voices they cant understanding talking about nothing in the distance. shyts pathetic.

Feels like a heart attack with weights on your chest and hard to breathe, hyperventilating. How do I handle this shyt, brehs I been havin these for the past 6 months and it doesn't seem to stop.

im sayin breh, i guess it's kind of hard to explain to people who never had em, i never was the type of have any anxiety from social shyt or even "regular" stress type situations so i can't relate to that type of stuff or know what it feels like :ld:

highly doubt what i experience is the same as yall

but i get this weird ass type of anxiety sometimes when i wake up in the mornin, they only last for like 30-60 seconds but it's this CRAZY feeling that im about to die, not on some "hol up a nikka in my house? :wtf:" type of shyt, more like im ALREADY halfway through dying and there's nothing i can do, legit impending doom on some Donnie Darko shyt, my brain feelin like :merchant::mindblown::damn::why: all at once, heart racin and all that, tryna stay alive, can't even focus or make sense of anything until afterwards like im half asleep, but it feels real as fukk. shyt only happens to me like 1-2 a month MAYBE, but when it does it's the WOAT feeling i've ever felt in my life, mostly because it happens for NO apparent reason that i can tell, life's good, no real stress so far, no social fear or paranoia to speak of, haven't done any drugs in a minute, shyt is perplexing as hell cuz i have no idea what could be triggering it. Main reason i dont slept over at any of my girls cribs or have em sleep over at mine for a prolonged period of time, don't want that shyt to happen one mornin and they think im crazy

looked it up and some people were sayin they had the same shyt cuz they had sleep apnea but i hope that's not the case :upsetfavre: shyt would seem random as hell for me to have that

and i know it's not sleep paralysis cuz half the time i actually jump the fukk up out the bed tryna figure out what the hell to do to protect myself :snoop: shyt's crazy embarrassing but luckily my homegirl looks out for me whenever she crashes at my spot

I got them in college, went to health services, they prescribed me two different kinds of medications, probably cause it was finals week and they just wanted to wash their hands clean of this shyt. What really helped me was exercising, organizing, and talking to people. One of my professors also said that when it comes to anxiety, you basically imagine the worst thing possible that could happen. Well the worst thing that could happen is you dying. Now there's a slim chance of that happening so you accept that it could happen and that's it. This professor was also big on psycho-analytic theory so I'm not sure how helpful that was but it did let me accept that whatever happens, happens.

The black community is the least informed about mental health and probably the hardest group of people to speak openly about those issues. I'm an extremely social person, out going with lots of different groups of friends but I can not speak to my homies about my panic attacks. You won't even know if your friends have them unless you speak to them. It' has nothing to do with mental toughness. Find some friend your comfortable talking to about it, if it's real bad see a counsellor. It's not worth the stress just because you're afraid to talk. Medication is necessary sometimes but only do if absolutely necessary.

Anxiety is a part of life. Everyone goes through it at some point. But real men dont sucumb to their emotions.. real men over come them. Its not your fault. Your just a product of the soft generation used to looking for the easy way out.. looking to pills and others to help you deal with the realities of life rather than handling your business like a man. unless your saying your crazy and have psychological issues.. in that case i would sympathize with you and hope you get the help you need to rejoin normal society... but thats not what your implying in this thread.
