A lot of preppers like to keep their preparations quiet, but everyone agrees that the prepper movement is growing. Some estimate that there are four million preppers in the United States today. Others claim that there are a lot more than that. In any event, there are certainly a lot of preppers out there. So exactly what are all these preppers so busy preparing for?

not a 'doomsday prepper' but i enjoy the show

i hoard certain items just in case things pop off. i live in south los angeles and i recognize we're about 2 weeks of no power/food from becoming cannibals. i keep 200 gallons of filtered water, have a RO system. have some seeds for fruits and veggies, and about 6 months worth of dried meals. also have a stage 5 generator with 10 gallons of gas in the garage.

only takes common sense to realize this shyt is fragile and can collapse at any moment.

if something doesn't happen, that's great. if it does, i don't want to be dependent on white folks to save the day.

DIYers.......may be the smartest mfers out there..... folks call them crazy cause they preparing for the worst case scenario ...... it's funny folks will call people on welfare DEPENDENTS......but forget we are all DEPENDENT on the current system/paradigm we have in place to provide electricity, keep transportation supply lines open for food, medicine, essential products, etc..........

Trying to get all my peeps onboard with being prepared both with food and supplies but also mentally. nikkas aint prepared at all but will try to rely on the government for survival. I am just now reading up all this and im looking in the survival game.

Best thing i read on a site once was not to waste time "hunkering" down if you live in the city , just have a light bookbag prepped so you can get on the move when shyt goes down. I have one with a couple of knives ( hunting,swiss army), a solar/kinetic powered flashlight, a lighter & box of matches, a light warm wool sheet , heavy duty pair of gloves , a refillable vapour water bottle ,a pancho, medium size roll of small plastic garbage bags , and a map of all the major highways of the U.S .
