Bio isn't gonna give you the background to be prepared for a lot of those advanced Chem and math classes. You not gonna really have big advantage over someone else getting the mastersThat explains why I couldn't really find any jobs related to bio medical engineering on jobs sites

Absolutely. Getting that MBA to be able to manage or be a director on up is the way to get the stupid money.

Bach. I don't want to do management. I may consider an MBA, but I just don't feel like it to be honest. With the shyt I do, I'm really on my own working anyway and I love just being able to do my shyt, keep my director informed, and keep it moving without having to deal with the politics and BS of dealing with other clowns.
Systems engineering is good for a masters focus.
For undergrad do electrical or computer. Systems is a holistic and logistics based version of engineering and is good to learn to well round the more technical computer or electrical engineering.
I'm still in the midst of engineering with about 1-2 years to go. Already have a coop and based on how that has gone that should turn into a full time when I graduate. The average starting salary is 90-110k.

I got in good
. I spent the past two years searching for a coop and even turned down some because of one reason or another. This past summer I lucked out with a pretty respectable company doing some good work.They also spent a lot of money on dinners and feeding me that I gained weight. Ate at several high end restaurants where they were pouring wine like water. I feel blessed breh.
But yeah depending on the engineering this isn't too rare. Especially if you go into petroleum engineering though with low gas prices I wouldn't be surprised if the job demands are on the downturn for that industry.

Lockheed is called low money in the defense world (cause they tight with the money and hard to negotiate with). But they have facilities all around the country and world so it is extremely easy to move around. They are also good with spending money on education and let you move around and do anything. I have heard of kats being engineers and hitting the 100k mark then transfering to HR to get a easy laid back job but make engineering money.
Northrop Grumman been snatching up folks left and right. They are throwing crazy money around so you may want to let your boy know.

If that shyt is systems and depending on the location it is possible. That is why I keep stressing in here that systems and software is where the money at. You get to principle level you make as much or more than a manager.
Edit - Plus in DoD you get OT. Don't fukk around and have a top secret (work in systems or Software) and do contract work. Easily making 200k to 250k without even trying.

Any engineering or hard science degree holder is eligible to take the patent agent exam. Patent agents are basically patent attorneys without the law degree. I am studying for the exam now...plan on taking it this summer.

Also tell your boy to hit up a northrop grumman recruiter on linkedin inmail. Ask to take part in the career hiring event in his area.
The recruiter will send him an invite to the event. Almost all these events are hiring on the spot with a secret or top secret.

I try not to give my personal information too much on this forum but systems is exactly what it doing
Systems is such a broad category though. Depending on the company, systems engineering is just project management and not much engineering. I almost didn't take this coop because I was afraid that may be the case before I found out more about it. Luckily it very much engineering mixed with management of projects.
