Have had my first puppy for about 6 months (Boxer) and hes 8months old. Did some basic home training early on but now he's hitting that stubborn age so we're putting him in training classes to tighten up the basics (no jumping, leash training, etc.)

I walk to work so I am able to walk home during lunch and let him out or my girl is home during the day to watch him but other than that we keep him in a crate until he his better trained, because he will give no fukks and get into EVERYTHING without supervision. :snoop:

It's hard but you have to be consistent and walk them or let them play after work and in the morning if possible, especially Boxers bc their energy levels are endless :francis:

Dogs are a pain in the ass until they hit 1 y/o. After they hit 1 y/o they are wonderful.

I agree but having 2 dogs usually helps take the pressure off you to constantly be socializing with the dog. My 2 don't even play with me. They only wanna play with each other. They just come to me for affection which makes my life a lot easier.

That's true. If I brought a dog, I would get another one so they won't be lonely and I would just adopt both of them.

But how many people got money to pay for two dogs, pay for vet visits for two dogs, pay for food for two dogs, pay for toys for two dogs and pay for training for two dogs.

People gotta consider that. Some people got the cash and time flexibility for all that.

It's really not that bad. My 2 dogs were free and honestly they don't eat that much. Kibble and bits is the only shyt they'll even really eat. I just give them coconut oil, buy dollar store broccoli and a few drops of cell food a day to supplement. I get their toys from the dollar store too and train them myself because I've had so many dogs. They probably cost me $40 a month at most. Dogs really don't have to cost a lot.

For what exactly?

Long as the dog got air and fresh water, where's the cruelty?

Depending on the breed , the dog can be there for protection as well.

And in the context you quoted me, the dog would only be in the car two and half hour intervals at max.

Train them when their puppies to sleep in a cage. That cage will become a place of refuge for them. The key is to walk a dog regularly or they become a problem. If u can’t afford time to walk the dog atleast every other day don’t get a dog or else your house will be smelling like the dog and that should matter to u.

What if it's hot or cold? That could be considered animal cruelty. You don't leave a dog in the car for the same reason you don't leave children in the car bruh.

Again. Depends on where you at.

She lives in the Bay so the weather is accommodating in those terms.

I would never suggest leaving your dog locked in your car in extreme weather conditions.

Only a idiot dog owner would do that anyhow..

:gucci: Breh I have been to the bay and it can get cold as shyt. It isn't a good idea period. You don't leave living, breathing things inside of an a enclosed space that has unregulated temperatures and very little air circulation. Come on now. You gotta be trolling.
