That technology can be perceived as magic to the uninitiated
Besides being logical, there are plenty of historical anecdotes to support that idea, two of the most rudimentary and astonishing examples of which are:

-Christopher Columbus using astronomical data to predict a solar eclipse and fooling an Indian tribe into believing he was an omniscient/omnipotent god like figure.

-and the Pharaohs of Egypt using tide tables and astronomical data (lunar cycles I think IIRC) to predict the cyclical flooding of the Nile in order to convince their subjects they were Gods.

Yea bUT if I make fire appear in my palms what technological marvel are you going to attribute that to if no physical object is present

And that is the point......

In the world we live in if you were to do that then because I am uninitiated I would think "oh wow magic"...but you just imagined a scenario that you yourself don't have any fundamental mechanics of.....so you cant even describe how it could work.....

So if I were to take the concept of how a TV works and go back 500 years and describe it...it would be perceived as magic even though I gave the fundamentals of the materials needed to achieve a television...
