i know this is the 100th thread this month about the negativity of todays rap but i recently heard this song [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx2raP3P3FQ[/ame] and was disgusted at the line "and i got xanax, percocet, promethazine, with codeine" :snoop: now mind you this is on mainstream radio. not censored or anything. now that im 30 and :flabbynsick: i jus cant help but to notice the negative influence that rap stands for. some of the songs i hear now literally makes my stomach turn. but i guess whats worse is thats the type of music artists have to make to get on the radio in the 1st place

I must still be immature. Drug lyrics don't offend me that much. It can be tacky sometimes if it seems like they're forced into a song, though.

It's all about balance. If you're JUST listening to music that talks about codeine and shyt, of course you're going to get sick of it. There's plenty of rap right now not talking about drugs and shyt throughout every song.

Nah, I listen to 2pac, Beanie Sigel, old Jay-Z, Nas and few new rappers like Kendrick, Nipsey Hussle. So the new rap don't bother me.
