Above the fray.
So I've been eating a lot more protein on average the last 5 or so years in general when I was trying to get in shape. (I used to be pretty weak compared to others, and muscle-less. Not sure if it's related). These sleep issues slowly started around that time.

It's ramped up these past few months, as I'm trying to bulk - so I'm eating even more protein. Trying to get at least 170-180g. I've also been back on protein powder fhe last few months.

So maybe my body just doesn't properly digest protein well? Could be causing kidney problems too?
The advice so far about talking to a physician is the best one, and take note of what The Fade has written.

Nobody ever follows the advice to getting a checkup and speaking to physician BEFORE starting exercise/training regimen, but it helps prevent problems.

I was a novice at lifting before, and through trial and error I found the proper diet for my goals. The amount of protein, and the sources. Never been a fan of protein powders/supplements, etc.

I'm assuming that you started training as an adult. Your body is changing as you age, and this excess protein that your system is processing seems to be affecting existing problems.

If your insurance is current, see your physician. But in the meantime, ditch the extra stuff, get nutrients from food, increase water consumption, and keep that cardio routine up.

This is a doctor issue. You may need to get blood work to see if anything is off. And maybe do a sleep study.

So Cal
Still have the same issue :francis:

Yeah breh document the symptoms in depth and find a black male doctor (they'll be more invested in you being ok off gp). Take probiotics, add fiber into the protein shakes. I drink mass gainer (5'8'' 155 in good shape but want to add 15-20 lbs of muscle), and makes sure you getting enough water, and veggies. Drink enough water to have your pee be clear. Try melatonin capsules before sleep or cbd supplements. Best of luck breh breh.

I had hemorrhoids, and stomach issues that were stemming from stress as well this time last year, so take it easy as well
