When I was in college, I took a job at one of the Price Chopper supermarkets up in Albany, working from 10-7am.

That was when I first understood why anyone would have a beer at 7am.

Morning/day drinking was some fun shyt. I would be at home drunk as fukk at noon about to pass out and get some sleep before work. shyt was funny as fukk. It was cool in the summer going to the lake and shyt

Nice, I was on Indian 1st year - low rises also..

Man, I know it's get fukking brick up there. nikkas complaining about the cold weather 2 weeks ago but albany helped me prepare :win:

Yea I love the spring and fall time, I was up there for one summer but it get's hot AF sometimes. But going into the fountain when it's hot out is dope.

and oh yea of course podiating, classic.
Yeah part of my financial aid forced me to get into EOP so I had to go there for summer orientation.
It was bullshyt though. I had applications to Dartmouth and...I think Stony Brook if I wanted to stay closer to home but I went to Albany because it was the cheapest, I think.

Back then yearly tuition with food program and everything included was something like 8 or 9 grand.

I DID FOR A LIL BIT. SEVEN DAYS A WEEK WITH 8-12HRS SHIFT. THE DAYS GO BY SO FAST AND YOU SAVE MONEY VERY QUICKLY. YOU'RE AWAKE WHEN EVERYTHING IS CLOSED. I HAD WEEKS WHEN I WOULD GO TO BANK AND CASH 2-3 PAYROLL CHECKS AT ONCE. ONLY THING IS CALLING OFF IS HARD. MOST REASONS FOR CALLING OFF CAN BE TAKEN CARE OF BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR SHIFT.

I work from 11am-1am now

I worked 3rd shift last year for about 6 months at my old job. It wasn't bad. You just don't have a life and you are home during the day sleeping or chillin' when everyone else is at work.
U working 14 hr days? Damn

I work from 11pm-730am Sunday thru Thursday. Get off work Friday morning at 730, get my haircut then get drunk till about noon. Wake up around 530 and hit happy hour somewhere

Yeah I do it voluntary though, I'm only obligated to work 4:30pm-1or2am. I can work 16 hour days(11am-3am) but I don't. I'm just being greedy right now(I get paid time and a half for every overtime hour and I don't do shyt half the time I'm there). Trying to save up for my trip to Vegas and shyt maybe a lake house.

That's what's up then. If we had OT at my job I'd def be on it cause I don't do shyt either. I think I do a total of 2 hours of actual work every night

Yeah man, it wild. I do work but it's working machines and 96% of the time it's waiting on the machine to get done so I can put the part on a rack. Other time I'm drinking pop, eating candy, eating chips. Technically legally stealing but they love it if you stay over because other people don't. fukk it. after I'm over 40 hours I'm making time and a half for standing around. RUN IT

I used to then I got fired. I worked 1st at General Motors then they told me I was getting bumped to 3rd it fukked me up because with me being a diabetic not only did I have to change my sleeping pattern I had to adjust all the times I took my medications my body was fukked up because of it causing me to getting ill and missing alot of days (burning thru my family medical leave days). I tried getting back to 1st shift but they kept telling me there was a shift preference block at the time (this went on for a year). Finally when they brought me in to be fired this dude told me if I was having problems how come I didn't change my shift I looked at him like :what:. this was almost 2 years ago and it is still under investigation. If I do get back in there they have to pay me all hours (with raises every 6 months) I missed since being fired, all vacation time, bonuses etc. but the only down side is that if I miss a day within a year and a half I could be fired again.
