I'm an only child amongst other things. I became comfortable with being by myself a long time ago. If no one comes into my life it'll be unfortunate but not the end of my life. Tbh social media got me fukked up, plus I have a couple attractive women in my life who I consider to be my "big sisters" (both 30) and they give me the 110% about women. They're very successful but are very sex positive living in NY. Based on what they've said me being a poindexter with a future makes me food :skip:. Some poster made a thread last week talking about taking risks..I get that but I'd amend it to state that a nikka needs to take measured risks in life. Everything is a gamble but the playing field is not amicable for marriage. @Poitier said how everyone in the West prioritizes self. Women want money and careers and men want to do nothing yet be considered the patriarch that everyone follows, (and the they're jealous of the attention women get).

Yes I can imagine never getting married because it's more of a reality than of actual marriage :heh:.
funny I never labeled you as that but then again, they know you better than me:jbhmm:

So the women you'd want on a similar level from an education/job standpoint, want someone well above their own level, because it's such a small place and the qualified women can have unrealistic demands because there's so few of them that are attractive while also being educated and employed. That shyt is rough :francis:

Relocating would require you going to like NY, Atlanta or Houston, places with a lot of educated black women where there's a finite number of men so they can't be as completely unrealistic in their approach.
Couldn't have said it any better :francis:.

Day ones get used, abused, and left all the time. People are inherently selfish and so betting on someone doesn't assure you will be sitting at the table with them when things come to fruition. Wish it were different but this is the society we created.
So. No matter the circumstance BOTH persons can leave with more than what they entered with if they are smart. Quit that bullshyt "honeymoon" and start a "triple our worth phase". Spend the first 2-3 years organizing finances, debt and grinding. It just seems better to sort out all the financial shyt BEFORE anyone starts fukking up and losing love and all that shyt.

Forget them 30 year old "big sisters" though with their jaded ass stories, find you a young tenda in NY, someone like 21-23 and get her to follow you to where you live. Most chicks would die at the chance to live where you live.

Well with the way marriage is failing, I hope they change their way of thinking. Marriage isn't the problem, how people go about it is the big issue...I guess. I don't know I've never been married, this all just seems like a good idea to me lol

Don't yall family members pressure yall to get married?
Almost everyone in the family I stick close to is married and they tell me not to get married. No pressure on my side.

American. Lol I'm dead ass team no sponsor, I would never suggest helping someone come here through marriage. If you mean ethnicity, he's Afro Cuban.
yea that's what I meant lol.
Although foreign men tend to be more marriage minded, a lot of them tend to have archaic views on women and skewed ideologies through religion on traditional relationships. But your husband is american so would it be safe to say he is more western?

Exhibiting fidelity, devotion and commitment is essential for marriage to work, however, you won't find many people willing to abide by those things in a basic relationship, let alone marriage.
