Yes..place called FieldWork Chicago...it was in hs...wack and easy work. A lot of gossipy clicks and desperate single moms....nowhere ass skill-less jawb leaving no motivation for better.

Pays the bulls tho. I hate the idea of just.sitting and eating all day at a cubicle.

I had a job working in a collections call center a very long time ago. There was one time when I called someone to collect on a bill and it turned out to be my aunt who lived in another state. Once she realized who I was, she cussed me out and hung up the phone. Then she called and told my mom about it. It was real awkward at the family reunion.

Did it for about a year in Belgium, outbound calls...I'm not a guy that likes to try convince people, so it was really awkward for me, but the worst was calling these old grandmas who hadn't spoken to anyone for like weeks and who were so happy to have some "company"...shyt was kind of sad :wow:

I worked at 3 different call center jobs.

First was outbound sales. It was by far the worst job I have ever had. 8 hours of making non-stop phone calls to people who didn't want to talk to you, reciting the same script over and over. My throat hurt every day when I went home from talk. My brain hurt, I couldn't relax EVER outside of work. I was already thinking about how I had to come back in the next day before I even got off of work. Lasted a week and had to walk out on the spot. Getting cussed at and all that didn't bother me at all, I actually preferred when people got pissed and hung up on me because then I didn't have to recite that script.

Second was inbound calls, doing directory assistance looking up phone numbers and addresses. It wasn't quite as bad, I lasted 3 months this time. It was still stupid as hell...I basically got punished for even taking bathroom breaks because they monitored every minute that your computer was logged out. It was a non stop shyt show the entire shift and was boring, repetitive, and draining.

Third was an actual professional job as a trucking company fleet dispatcher. This probably wouldn't be considered a "call center" job by most people, but it was the same environment because my shift was a constant stream of inbound and outbound phone calls often with multiple people waiting on hold. This job nearly destroyed my marriage and my personal life. It put so much stress on me that I lost 20 pounds the first month I was there because I couldn't eat. The reasons it was so stressful wasn't necessarily just because of the constant phone calls though, there was a lot of other shyt. I quit after 4 months despite being an adult and actually having real bills and responsibilities this time. I put myself into unemployment.

Basically, call centers are the worst jobs in the world. I would literally rather scoop piles of shyt from one spot to another spot then ever work in a call center again. The only people who seem to be able to work in them successfully are drug addicts and drunks because many of them don't drug test and it just feeds their partying lifestyle.

the hoes can be :wow:, but its a waste of time kind if job because usually there isnt mich room for growth, so i would try to find a better job pretty soon as possible before you say fukk it and end up jobless.

My girl works at a at&t call center, and makes $30 an hour.

:stopitslime: aint no call center rep gettin over 20 an hour, i dont care what city your in. even $20 is a stretch unless she does IT or she's someone with authority and make a business decision.

its probably the shyttiest job I ever had. It was inbound calls for a home services company, I only stayed for a couple of weeks until I landed a better paying job and my place didnt have any hot girls either.
If you like talking to people all day, and can take shyt from people all day youll be ok. But if your the type of guy who gets angry fast it wont be for you

It's cool for the first couple of days then you get sick of it especially looking at queues on deck.

They only thing great about the job is that when you are busy, time goes by so fast (depends on the type of job though).

That's exactly how I felt. Mentally I would be sitting at home like "ok, it's 6 o'clock...I got 5 hours before I go to bed, then I gotta get up"...an hour later "ok, it's 7 o'clock, I got 4 hours before I go to bed, then I gotta wake up"

I worked call center before. The best advise I can give you is get promoted as soon as you can.

As yes, the women there are easy as hell but don't get caught up out there cause it can come back and explode in your face. :to:

lemme give you the real my nikka

i worked at a call center before.

its an easy job. easy money. you dont gotta do much BUT...... that shyt is the worst experience ever

i personally think that this job is ideal for old people. shyt is nasty. i use to fukk with that lysol heavy

i started this job as my first full time job. so i was gettin money between this and my part time job. when i interviewed they sold the job as profitable. we had to take inbound calls and make outbound calls. there were different ways to make commission so when you first start you on ya shyt lol.

i was the only "hood nikka" there. so i got alot of the women i worked with. had sex with two of them and had the rest at my finger tips. but this aint bout that lol. i had to add the good and the bad.

i worked with alot of older people. im talkin 25-70. call centers are dead end jobs. its all good at first. but after 3 months its the worst experience. everything gets repetitive. you makin calls to nikkas that dont give a fukk about you. you harrassing people. you have to follow a script.

even when people call for a SPECIFIC reason. you have to somehow magically deter them and follow your script to hit every selling point. after a while you sound like a robot. they monitor every second of your day because you sign into a phone as well as the computer.

they saw how my personality and job performance changed. after a couple months i was basically like fukk this shyt. i quit that shyt

CLIFFS
-Repetitive
-Dead End Job
-Boring
-Imagine Literally Doing The Same Thing For 8 Hours A Day, 5 Days A Week
-You Will Quit
-Meant For Old People
-I fukked My Co Worker On Lunch

this job is for desperate people that failed at life

if you are over 26 and your work at a call center

you either been there since 20

or

you suck at life and dont have a career

i will never work at one again son

NEVER

i rather sell drugs than waste 8 hours saying the same shyt. over and over
