You’ve unearthed one of the problems right here. We’re not allowed to go for ours, because many amongst us, the diaspora, and Africa feel that we’re privileged. That is why Caribbean and African groups going after reparations get no pushback. That is why you don’t get as many “it’ll never happen’s” in regards to their claim. So many are clueless to the average AA; including AAs.

It’s also why if we fight for reparations, it is expected that we fight for every black here in the US.

Yeah, it's deep.

I don't want to go too deep but blacks in the diaspora are given a pass for looking out for self (among other things) because of economic dislocation.

Any assertion of Black American identity not tied to universalism or Christian morality is seen as behaving like WHITES. No other group has that burden.

The African tourism disguised as Pan-Africanism when black Americans go over to Africa on guided tours and flex their American exchange rates doesn't help either, but the veneer of black American celebrity is one of the main issues that conceals the plight of black America. The problem is once ados destroy black celebrity and our buffer class negroes here, there are entire groups of economically dislocated black people in the diaspora ready and willing to take those spots because they are hungry and/or think social climbing is a virtue.

Ados Pan-Africans don't want to touch this though and instead put the onus on other ados for everything and give the diaspora a pass which is why they like to spout this line that "it's up to us to lead the diaspora" :mjlol: .....as if our Caribbean and African brehs don't have the agency to lead or to hinder pan-Africanism.

Well maybe you should STFU and research before condemning ADOS for not adhering a standard that literally no one else is held to. CARICOM has been fighting for reparations for descendants of slavery in the Caribbean and I’ve yet to hear anyone calling them selfish and divisive for demanding what is rightfully owed to them.

Now ask yourself, were the reparations paid to Japanese Americans divided amongst Koreans and the Chinese because they’re all Asians? fukk no, they had to specifically identify themselves to lay claim what was owed to them. So why is it all of a sudden an issue when black Americans do the same?
THIS!

Funny enough is these Africans/Foreign Blacks will put all of this PRESSURE on us then turn around and say that we aren't the "standard for Blackness". MUFUGGA HOW ARE WE NOT THE STANDARD, Y'ALL EXPECT US TO FIX EVERYTHING AND SAVE EVERYONE?!?!

:mindblown:

This is also a reason i think we go HARDER for other people and their issues than our own. We're always included with some other race/ethnicity/sexuality of people, so some of us feel like we need to "save" other mufuggas, even though our situation is WORSE than theirs.

Of course I have an agenda, genius.

Everyone does.

My agenda is the elimination of ignorance, divisiveness, hatred, and victim-blaming.

Looks like we have the same agenda then:respect:
But lets be clear people who don't give a damn or have a plan for non ADOS/foreign blacks don't only consist of ADOS.
You even just admitted that ADOS is not a lineage but an ideology. So why did you focus in on people who claim ADOS,which is just a small fraction of the AA community? When the overwhelming majority of the AA community don't have a plan for,or care about non AA's plight? Not based on any platform but just pure indifference? Now I think you see why the authenticity and intentions of your "agenda" is highly questionable. I made a similar thread the other day,but if people remember, I didn't specefically call out ADOS like you did, even though many of them showed up and we dialogued. I take the stance your taking about any AA person who turns a blind eye to white supremacy and doesn't see themselves as the foremost experts on racism and white supremacy, and therefore the black leaders of the free world:respect:
