Well, we bought a electric turkey fryer last Christmas. We fried a Turkey Breast but for Thanksgiving we are gonna do a whole turkey. I know we're going to have cornbread with actual corn in it, Mac & Chesse with 5 different cheeses in it. I'm cooking braised red cabbage. If you have ever ate at a restaurant called "Houston's" they have it there. I can cook the exact same thing and it's good. My mother is going to cook us some sweet potato pie and her pies don't taste like everyone else's so I can't wait for that. Greens and dressing and we are going to be eating really good.

@opulence thanks for the recipes! I'm going to do a small crock pot of spinach dip with pita chips on the side.

What did you inject it with?

i used a butter based injection recipe i found off the internets...it was simple enough since it was my first time doing this and seasoned it with this

My issue with turkey period is that its never seasoned enough. Some people sprinkle a little salt and pepper on it and think thats enough.

I season mines under the skin with a butter/season/herb blend, inject it with the same blend except with melted butter then season the shyt out of that turkey.

Then you fry it or bake it?
