yeah R&B is even worse than Hip-hop right now. Atleast hip hop has gotten a lil bit better with Kendrick and J cole IMO at least improved from his last album.

R&B is just wack period. And it aint like rap where if you go on the internet you can find some shyt thats buzzing that you might like.

With Most r&b it's mainly just regulated to the radio and what I've been hearing on the radio while driving is :trash:
you're completely wrong on this. Im not even an R&B fan but the talent is there. and NONE of the good R&B artists are on the radio. James Blake, The Weeknd, Mount Kimbie, Miguel, Frank Ocean, King Krule etc.

Personally I can't fukk with any of those artists aside from James Blake (and King Krule every now and then).. but R&B is clearly the most progressive genre right now

You sure some of y'all nikkas don't just overdose on this shyt:wtb:....some of y'all spend time listening to nikkas you know u don't like just so you can talk shyt about it I'm convinced:heh:....u think its possible u might be listening to so much shyt it all just sounds the same and nothin amazes u after a while:ohhh:?

I got a couple dudes I'm feelin, just nobody stan worthy:ohlawd:....but I can't say I'm bored, its quite a few nikkas out there that's good for a few songs ima love....I had my cousin interested in hearin more from Dolla, told em he wuz dead and he told me bout this lil snupe cat I been seein threads about, finally checked em out and lil dude was nice....so I'm always excited when I hear sumthin new that I like, ima check this Migos shyt out later....I'm still waitin on Future, waitin on Yellah Nino to get out of jail...and it was some dude Big Mel put me on to couple weeks back who's name I can't remember, dude had a regular azz name I can't think of but its on my phone sumwhere:pachaha:...and I still rediscover the classics, had a scratched up disc of Dru Down Fools From The Street, and E40 and Blegit present Southwest Riders:blessed:..its plenty of old shyt we all can probaly go back and discover, obviously with the lack of respect a lot of nikkas out the loop on the bay area classics:mjpls:....shameless plug?:obama:

When shyt got reall bad for me I ended up discovering rnb which I didn't know much about outside the legends...tryna set the mood with some Brutha Lynch Hung:whew:...I think a few bytches mighta fuked outta fear:shaq:...if it get bad again I know I still got plenty more old rnb I'm not up on yet so I'm not worried.

Progressive? All of those dudes can't hold a candle to what was being made in the 90s. James Blake is basically a cac trying to make Timberland production without the talent or ear to do it. All of them other guys are cacs with no sole or feminine men with suspect tendencies. Not see how they're progressive.

Alot of yall want the radio/ internet to force feed you summer anthems and record labels to package stars for you to stan. Be ya own man.

Nope not at all, the shyt I'm listening to is dope, if I listened to just mainstream shyt I'd be bored with most shyt bar Nas but overall definitely not, K-Rino's releases excite me, 2 albums coming this month, Fat Joe's mixtape I enjoyed, looking forward and excited by AZ's album and the mixtapes will be cool to listen to too, looking forward to Immortal Technique The Middle Passage finally coming, a new Saigon and Papoose release, a new Jay and Nas release, KRS-One's new album I felt and super waiting on the DJ Premier and KRS-One album as could be a classic, looking forward to Cormega's Mega Philosphy album, a new Brother Ali release, new Atmosphere, Game is a hit and miss artist to me but he sometimes has very good songs so am interested to hear his next great songs, looking forward to more Shyne material, Rick Ross gets some great beats, Lauryn Hill's album I can't tell you how excited I am by that, Andre 3000 droppin a solo is exciting, there's so much to look forward too, that's a small amount.

Also add the excitement of the development of the career of Chris Rivers. He could be huge and great. Kool G Rap got new shyt coming, as does Big Daddy Kane, Queen Latifah, Common's gonna have more ish, Lowkey, Z-Ro, Scarface, Last Emperor hopefully will finally drop Wizard's Wardrobe. Still hoping Dre releases Detox and takes production forward with that and creates some classics, I'm glad he didn't drop it with them garbage songs he released and hopefully he will deliver like he should if and when he drops it. New Bizzy Bone would be dope and so many more of the greats, also there's artists we all probably don't know who will turn out to be great. Jay Electronica's album I'm excited to hear, I feel like he could come through.

Honestly, I think raps in a better spot than it's been in years...

Got newer artists like Cole, Kendrick, Wale, Krit, Nipsey

Got veterans that put out some sick albums last year in Life Is Good, F&L2, Jesus Piece, etc

Is it mid 90s rap? No... and it's never coming back... but regardless, there's good music coming out.

Charlemagne spoke on this recently, there was just a thread about it, but I'm too lazy to look

didnt even bother checking for the past few big releases as everything sounds the same now.
Trap is really killing hip hops soul imo.
just waiting on the new Lil Ugly Mane and (hopefully) the new blu record and i think thats it. Drake sux btw.
Dude, if you are bored with rap than you better be bored with music in general...

Because, hip hop is the only genre doing anything, and I listen to music from ABBA to ZZ Top and even Africa and other parts of the world...

Hip Hop is the ONLY genre doing ANYTHING worth listening to...

If you don't agree, just admit that you ain't really about the hip hop life...Period.
