chickity check it:

-By letting Bret go, Vince doesnt set a precedent of insane money contracts. You set the bar with 2.5 mil a year, any big guys you bring in gonna want that minimum. And if HBGay doesnt get injured, him and Taker gonna want close to Bret Money when its time for that new contract

-Vince gets to be an evil character foil for Austin, and be the star he secretly always wanted to be (you can tell he loved being out there wrestling matches)

-Shawn becomes a super strong heel, again as a foil against Austin. You cant have a super-face without heels to play off

-Owen doesnt leave because Owen gets the rub (pause) in the WWF audience. His brother got screwed, he hates Shawn. People gotta do their research and remember when owen came back and attacked Shawn, he (Owen) was a super-over face for a minute

-Bret, who everyone knows is a mark, can say 1) he didnt lose the belt and he 2) definitely didnt lose in stupid azz Canada

-Bret, who's getting older, gets to get a few years of that WCW money before coming back for a retirement tour in WWF (he didnt know Goldberg's stupid ass was gonna ruin that, or WCW's booking committee was so fukked up)

Watch "The Monday Night War", when Bischoff mentions how WCW did all sorts of research which showed the fans love when "we know everything is fake, BUT this shyt right here might be real"

Bret didn't come back, and became bitter and hateful to Vince, cause Vince stupid ass made Owen bungee jump from the top of a fukkin arena

Brehs im really starting to think this shyt was a work myself.

Hear me out....

WWE needed something big to compete with the red hot "nWo storyline" and Bret being the ultra talented old school storyteller he was went into action for a giant eleborate angle.

Bret single handily molded the "Stone Cold" character for a year from 96-97 so i wouldnt put it pass him to have come up with an angle to give back to his "father figure" Vince McMahon before he walked away that he thought would be a blueprint for the "Attitude Era" that was on the rise.

Bret knew the impact he had on Canadian fans and old traditional fans, he knew this would cause a huge uproar yet a big risk.

However, I do believe he didnt want to lose to HBK in Canada (their hatred was real) but i think thats why Bret Hart put over Austin so much for a year. He molded Austin to be the "next guy" and had faith Austin would dethrone HBK in the long run with his new found popularity. Bret knew he was leaving WWF in good hands after his departure.

I think the reason Bret was so bitter for years is because he came up with hidden "going away angle" for WWE but watched from the sidelines as WCW was misusing him and his "Screwjob" idea propelled WWF right past WCW. Its like someone stealing your idea and getting rich off it (Facebook creator)

There is a pic circling around the internet with Bret doing the Clique hand gesture. If Bret hated Shawn why would he make that hand gesture knowing that is his thing.

I think this was the biggest work in Wrestling history.
Vince could not give you a dollar more contract raise? bullshyt.
