I blasted some headphones in my ear ridiculously loud about 5 years ago...lost hearing in my left ear and had tinnitus (ringing) in that ear for 3-4 months, seriously thought I was gonna be close to deaf in that ear for forever. It eventually healed, got my hearing back, and I have never done that again.

High quality noise reducing headphones at a respectable volume level >>>> blasting 9.99 panasonics from cvs

Get buds with better seal (Comply makes some good ones depending on the headset you have) so you don't have to play the music so loud to drown out external sound

Sound isolation leads to lower listening volumes

I honestly don't know how you folk use them thangs.:scusthov:

Maybe I produce an above average level of Wax but the few times I tried ear buds they'd always slip out cause of it so I could never appreciate such cheap and available listening devices.

Personal preference aside, get it checked. Also lower the volume. I'd want to believe you could better hear music at a lower volume than you would with most pairs of modern headphones. Any sort of aggressive music, Heavy Metal being a perfect example shouldn't be listened to at full tilt for extended periods of time lest you want to develop titinus'n'shyt.

nikka, turn them shyts down on your way to the doctor and get it sorted. Even if you ain't got shyt and you just imagining things, it's best to be proactive than reactive to something you noticed early.

Get your ears checked by any doctor from a walk-in appointment.

I was using these cheap earbuds, and noticed my hearing in my left ear was getting worse. Got it checked and there was wax buildup and had to get it all flushed out.

Spend the extra money and get overear headphones and use hydrogen peroxide drops in both ears once a month to keep them in check.

The whole point of earbuds is NOT having to blast them :gucci:
People around you will hate you and in time you'll eventually hate yourself for having to do it.
Louder does not = better.
Ask your local clubs/concert soundman for a 5 min schooling.
And while you're at it, get some plugs for every concert or them jump off clubs on weekends.
You'll appreciate the difference.
Every time your ears ring after events is irreversible damage caused.

Man I need to take note on this as I get free CVS headphones from a customer of mine who comes into my store. I go through headphones like CRAZY...Loosing ear buds or my cats eating them and shyt since they are hooked on earwax for some reason.

So I go through maybe 6 pairs a month but I had the same issue you had in my right ear so I may just fukk around and get those really really nice Bose earbuds and take care of my hearing.
