You can’t see me!
C'mon doggies. Hip Hop been dead we the reason it died...
Its really on its way out as a successful mainstream genre. You guys should've seen this coming when the number of successful mainstream acts began to dwindle down.
Now its just Jay-Z, Eminem, Lil Wayne* (maybe Drake sells this time, but Nicki last project only went gold), Kanye West*
Lil Wayne (last project gold)
Kanye (last project gold)
There are still countless B/C list artists that are making great music like Wale & Freddie Gibbs
Man OP stfu. Mattafact all unikkas need to stfu. Gosh I hope I never become like u guys.
Nah, dudes like fab, Luda, mob deep, etc all used to sell. In that 1998-2004 era basic dudes could go plat, hell even chingy went platI don't agree with any of this. Since when have hip-hop artists sold more in more numbers? At a point it was Jay-Z, Eminem, TI, Ludacris, & Kanye. At another point, you could count on Jay, 50, Nelly, Eminem to go platinum. Now it's Drake, Jay, Wayne, Kendrick & Kanye. The names change but the number stays relatively the same.

We def need a culture shock momentHip Hop is in the 'Hair Metal' phase of development. Too many pretty boys and trendy ass fans who don't really appreciate soul music. It's amazing how wack shyt is compared to even just 7 years ago. Eventually a Kurt Cobain level artist will shock these dead zombies back to life with something groundbreaking but that moment hasn't arrived yet.
We def need a culture shock moment
Black culture has been on a decline since the early 2000's, and I'm most likely sure that majority of African Americans are happy with our current culture in America, unfortunately.
That's really depressing to read breh
I agree breh.It's truth,
We do not even share a universal appeal within our culture now, it currently appeals to all women, homosexuals and shell of men who still seeks validity. Just look at your modern favorite rappers, actors, politicians, and women on your favorite channel such as Bravo, VH1, BET and etc, This is what happens when you do not control nothing and do not own anything. We are a mockery of ghosts.
