Most of us on The Coli are between the ages of 21 and 40. We all remember where we were on 9/11. I was in 6th grade(I'm 26). The 2000's didn't culturally start till' after 9/11. 9/11 marked the very beginning of how America would view religion, culture, national security, etc. So many Americans were ignorant about Islam, and they all turned xenophobic overnight. I was just watching a Howard Stern archrival broadcast from 9/11 2001, BOY the word towel head was thrown around freely by callers. And Howard was basically gave the Kanye Shrug, because he felt Americans and New Yorkers specifically had a right to be a little racist. What the media never discusses are the amount of anti-Islamic attacks that occurred in the days after 9/11, some of them including murder. But those incidents were small potatoes because everybody was too pissed to garner any thread of sympathy for those Muslim Victims. That's the same apathy that helps people not care about a drone strike killing innocent people.

Sounded to me back then like nothin really changed from what we minorities were already used to.

It's alright to mourn the victims, but all that extra "patriotic" bullsh!t that comes along with this day can truly kiss my Black ass.

fukk that bullsh!t and fukk saluting that flag :pacspit:
I want to see rememberances for all the Blacks killed by Euro cacs from slavery to Jim crow, over the past few centuries. :pacspit:

I guess we suppose to forget slavery too?
I guess we suppose to forget Jesus wept too?
I guess we suppose to forget that scene when Terminator drove the motorcycle off the over pass in Judgement Day like a G too Nikkka????
That's just it. Whites are constantly telling us to get over slavery, but when it comes to 9/11, never forget. Just like they "never forget" all the other atrocities that have happened throughout history; especially the ones were brown and yellow people were the victims :sas2:

RIP to the Victims but ...

I still have a hard time believing who was responsible for 9/11

That's another thing that keeps me from being emotionally vested in this "day of remembrance". :martin:
There are so many BASIC, LOGICAL, VALID questions regarding the actual act, questions that they refuse to answer, that, one can't help but wonder.

I'm not tired of it, cause i don't get into all the remembrance stuff but I did forget it was the 14th anniversary this morning :pachaha: It's just one of those disasters that people remember like Katrina, a terrible event where thousands of people died. R.I P. to all the victims though

Earlier this year me and the wife flew to San Antonio to check out some property. I spent the weeks leading up to the trip looking at 9/11 jumpers and plane crash footage :dead: I don't recommend that shyt for anyone
