Years ago I hand an Airbnb in the area and witnessed a standoff between bank robbers and the police.

shyt was active but it was nothing like other parts of south central let alone the shyt you see riding the blue line through watts and Compton

I remember balling with the money I'd get after dropping a course two classes in. Dudes thought I was hustling work.

USC is a crazy good school in terms of alumni network, education, and opportunities breh, I was thinking of applying there as a undergrad; you'd be in great shape if you go there no doubt

Yeah there's mad security over there too. Like 4 different police agencies intersec on that campus. Along wit usc having peeps on bikes, as well as a gatekeepers every half a block around the campus....


I dont think south la is that bad, but i know it takes a lot to make cacs feel safe


Crazy thing is usc is the private school and UCLA is the public school. UCLA is located in one of the safest and most affluent neighborhoods in the country

USC is like 5 minutes north of South Central but its not hood at all. USC is a rich kid cac school so there is a ton of security all around plus lot of South Central is Mexicac now...its not anything like ppl think of it from watching Menace, Boyz in the Hood etc. Really not that unsafe....maybe Watts but thats wayyy further south

Same as Uni of Chicago being in Washington Park on the South Side but again tons of security

she was his meal ticket out

but she dropped him for a breh that played ball at Layola.

Housing gonna b a big cost for OP. My shytty basic azz 1bedroom apt is $1500 and thats considered a bargain.

Even studios are like $1200

U gonna need a couple roomates if you wanna be under $1000 a month
