These are all pics I've taken. I'm no professional, so they're certainly not fancy! I also have a penchant for taking pictures of buildings near branches and trees lol.

Jersey aint ny :scust:

Lol I know its not, but it counts as the overall built up region/urban area and you can clearly see the Manhattan skyline from parts of New Jersey

The views I mentioned were mostly distant views into Manhattan that are taken over those outer areas i mentioned. So it shows alot of those areas in the foreground with the towers in the background

Here 2 I found. one has that Flushing Meadows park

My good gf. She is amazing! But here is a list of Black architectures

When he was starting out Paul Williams learned to draw and write upside down so as to make his primarily white clientele / investors more comfortable by standing on the other side of the table. I guess he may have given up that practice by the time the hotel contract came his way! He also walked on sites with his hands clasped behind his back. He was not sure how many whites would want to shake his hand so this way if they wanted to they would extend their hand first. All that bullshyt on top of just doing a killer job and helping to create an architectural culture.

listings: African-American architects - Wikipedia

Pure excellence. Repped for showing me another piece of black excellence that you dont hear enough about

Thanks for putting me onto this guy, and im gonna go through that wikipedia link too ina bit.

And smh at him even having to do that around white ppl, but we all know what it was like back then. Am glad he became successful despite all that

Phoenix. Ain't nothing here.

I personally love San Francisco's skyline.
SF_skyline_(702056020).jpg

Doesnt have to be a lot to be amazing. The lowrise cityscape works well with the overall vast landscape of the region which you can see in this panoramic photo.
(The full resolution version probs too big to post so...)

And the San Francisco skyline does look amazing. I remember that TV mast from GTA San Andreas

LA's is one of the best for me because of the mountain backdrop...and depending on the weather and perspective, you see the Pacific

Always liked how the Downtown Los Angeles skyline has kept more or less the same look since the early 1990s. I know they put that Wilshire Grand tower up recently tho

I live in NY and the skyscrapers is one of my favorite aspects of the city, its nice seeing the Hudson Yards buildings go up. I took pics when 1 WTC & 4 WTC was going up.

Here are some of 1 WTC U/C

I miss taking photos :mjcry: going though the stash and posting these bought me so much joy, life was so much better back then :mjcry:

Wow, good photos man, especially that last one. I know the nostalgic feeling too.

Speaking of the WTC, were you in New York on 9/11? Just curious cos I use to love the original twin towers of the World Trade Center when i was a child and still to this day cant believe that actually happened.

Yh, im guilty of not paying enough attention to its skyline, but I have always liked the IDS Tower for its glass cladding and it shape

at the photo of the CN Tower, and the trees mixed in with buildings is an interesting viewpoint and can make for good composition. Keep that up

Thanks.

I lived in NY my whole life and I was in the 4th Grade when 9/11 happened and saw the smoke from where I was in Brooklyn. I went inside the original 7 WTC with my dad during the summer 01, little did I know that building would provide so much fukkery in terms of conspiracy theories and such :russ:

I had fear of heights back then so I never considered asking my parents to visit the WTC obs deck :mjcry: I liked the twin towers as well and have many memories of seeing the buildings, they were so big at certain areas you could see the buildings from deep in the outer boroughs.

I loved the antenna on tower 1, I remember when I found this video of ice buildup on it :banderas:

^^^^ open this video in a new tab and read the description :mjcry:

When the plane crashed into the north tower all the channels that broadcasted from the WTC went to static right away, my mom was at home watching TV and told me how all the channels went out except for channel 2.

Damn, cant imagine what it woulda been like for people in New York at the time, especially kids. I was in primary school too and cos London is like a few hours ahead, I came home from school and remember seeing only the North Tower on fire live. And yh that dominated the media here for like the next few months.

Wow, you actually been in WTC 7. Yh the whole controversy surrounding that building is mad. I knew the building before 9/11 too but didnt know what it was called or that it was even part of the complex. Only years later when youtube came out did i realise that the building had collapsed on the day too.

I feel you, I wanna be an architect but Im afraid of heights too. Yh at 417 metres they must of been huge. The tallest in London at the time was 235 metres.

Oh damn I wouldnt have thought of that. I did read a while back that WTC1 broadcast several channels and some of those channels had to move back to the Empire State Building's mast. I think it went like that. I just remember wishing that they rebuilt the exact same towers when i was young rather than the ones they ended up building even though they're decent too. They were really iconic and a piece of me wanted to visit New York slightly less knowing that they werent there anymore. (Still havent been but I wanna go soon). Always like the parts in movies like Die Hard with a Vengeance and Trading Places where it shows them.

His body werent found for over 3 months. RIP to all the victims of that day and to all the victims that died from all the conflict that followed (civilians and soldiers)
