It's undeniable that Jordan is an a$$hole but stories like this are laughable. Just because a guy gets paid doesn't mean he has to help out everyone they ever met that is struggling. The guys that do that end up broke and writers just like this guy would be calling them just another statistic that doesn't know how to manage their money.

I agree with your assessment but it doesn't apply to this case. Coaches can't just open the gym early for everybody or let everybody drive their car or come to their house for dinner but this guy did that shyt for Mike. If this was just some random nikka that Mike happened to have 3rd hour Biology with or who he sat at the same lunch table with that one time then your post would apply.

Exactly. I'm not trying to make excuses for Jordan or deny that he's the gigantic a$$hole that we all know he is but these stories are just a little bit too convenient. From what little I've read about this coach, it doesn't seem like Jordan likes the guy and who knows, maybe it's for a good reason.
When you do make it big, all of the lowlifes you crossed paths with in life come around wanting a piece and if a successful person wants to remain successful, they can't be keeping tabs on all of these people and making sure that they all get a second chance for the poor choices and fukkups they have made.
Jordan didn't get cut the same way Derrick Rose didn't get cut. Rose wasn't allowed on the varsity team his freshmen year because his school didn't allow freshmens on the varsity team period

Why isn't there mutual respect between these two though? Maybe it could be answered by Jordan simply being an enormous a$$hole but some of these coaches who appear to go the extra mile for their kids really have their own hidden agendas.
