I mean its great that he can play football as a someone from a rugby background and hes doing great for a rookie but now ipeople are saying he has the potential to be the best Punt returner in the league, And its only the second game and most of these pre season games are full of second string players and none of the pros are on their A game . Its a bit premature to base his performance on a few preseason games . And im sure Hayne himself isnt enjoying the added pressure from the media and the public.

The guys on special teams are generally backups and players that secure their spot on the team by their special teams play, so I don't think anyone is half-assing punt returns. It's a cool story and so far the guy looks like a player. No need to minimize it.
