Late 1800’s/early 1900’s.I'm guessing the mid to late 1800s she was born. How did she end up with your great grandfather?
She’s actually my step great grandmother. My great grandfathers first wife (my OG great grandmother) died early, and he remarried. They met in South Carolina, I don’t know how exactly. Apparently, there was quite a bit of mixing on my moms side of the family. I know, it probably has no real significance, but my mom and grandmother are pretty dark. I’m dark skinned. So, while there was some mixing on my moms side, there wasn’t much at all on my dads side. I’ve never seen anyone white with any of my relatives on that side, and looking at old pictures and hearing old stories, there is no tales that involved white people.
It’s funny, because when I took that ancestry test, my euro % was 12%. My mothers side probably contributes heavy to that
