I was only citing the percentage for the US populations surveyed.
I've traced my past as far as my maternal great great grandmother who was mixed Black and Native American. I think my paternal great grandfather was mixed black and native American as well. I also heard he was from the islands, so I don't know what the hell is going on there. I don't think both are true.

I know we have some on my mom’s side. My mom is around Steph Curry’s complexion and quite a few of her cousins are the same shade or slightly lighter, with green eyes. My grandmother said that her mother was Mulatto, but never got too detailed as to who her parents were. Some of the older cousins my parents age, 60’s and 70’s, have mentioned what White family we are related to. But it’s Mississippi, neither groups have any interest in getting to know each other, which I completely understand. I honestly wish I just knew more for information purposes only. I have no desire to be on friendly terms with any Mississippi White folks who are probably racist as shyt.

The patriarch of that branch bought over a thousand acres of land in the African American settlement called Buxton and became influential on the underground railroad and abolitionist movement.
His descendants left for Detroit and Chicago in the late 1800s. Cousins in Detroit basically run that city.
