There's a reason, breh. Once we were free to make music that was of our making and rooted in our struggle, the sound could only be beautiful to the ears. Cooke..Gaye..Brown..et. al. These were black voices who echoed the pain and joy of our people. Hold on to those records if you still have them. I'm never throwing my father's records away.
