She's one of the few people who acts against the status quo. Changing her vote from no to present on something that already had overwhelming support from both parties doesn't change that. With Israel there, they are able to exert their influence and will over a region half a globe away and do things that inevitably benefit Americans (i.e. have a hand on oil production which we need for gasoline, not to mention the supply chain in that part of the world, and if there are ppl in the area trying to get at Americans, they can handle that using Israel as their middle east headquarters if they have to).
