The only reason I didn’t move into a condo was because of the problem I see every single day at work and it’s waiting for the elevator. People paying $3,000 month, the condo is sick, the view is sick, but you gotta wait cotdamn 15-20 minutes sometimes just to get in the elevator to go to the gym, or the lobby, or get to your car. fukk that. I like that I can walk out the door and my car is right out front.

Breh above me in my first apartment was a DJ. We would lowkey have battles with our speaker systems :lolbron: that shyt was lowkey fun to me just cuz I got that work

Right now, I got some neighbors with chihuahuas on the 3rd floor, and they KEEP them out on the patio all the fukking time, and THEY LOSE THEIR EVER fukkING MIND ANYTIME SOMEONE WALKS past :snoop: I wanna kill them summbytches. I don't care if someone steps on their patio for a cig... somebody walking their dog and it has to take a shyt...

arf! :damn: arf! :damn: arf! arf! arf! :damn: arf! :damn:

*20 minutes later and they're still going*

arf! :damn: arf! :damn: arf! arf! arf! :damn: arf! :damn:

*2 hours later they finally calm down, but a leaf goes by*

ARF! :damn: ARF! :damn: ARF! ARF! ARF! :damn: ARF!!! :damn: :damn:

Get a Dog whistle . There's an app for it too :demonic:

Problem solved :mjlit:

As for me, I live in a condo as well . Waterfront :lawd: Huge patio overlooking A pond and one of several swimming pools . Watching the ducks swim in circles while eating Breakfast or having a beer after work in my patio is so relaxing. 99% of the time its quiet cause folks dont play on the noisemakers . Hell, it's a $50 fine for honking your horn here :bryan: They can vote your ass out of here if you or your dog are a problem .

But things were not all great here. Had a CAC neighbor who would listen to music till 3AM loud or play fortnite with the surround sound speakers all day long until I sent an email about it to the office. Not a peep since .

But my previous two apartments though :dead: First one had thin walls and all types of fukkery. Second one was near a university. I can go on forever all the shyt that went down there.

Yeah sounds like you living in a building built pre 2010

You not having these problems in a 2016+ built spot.

It's weird to me reading this as someone most familiar with New York where most of the buildings were built before the 50s.

I actually like the old buildings though, they look nice, give off that old school NY vibe and can be pretty nice if properly maintained

When I lived in West Chicago, my neighbors were Indians. I’m not trying to be racist, but under no circumstances do you want to live next to Indians. Curry permeates all surfaces and walls. You cannot mask the smell. I tried air fresheners, coffee grounds scattered around the house, febreeze, and normal incense. Nothing worked. I eventually found some extremely pungent incense at a smoke shop (which was ironically owned by an Indian), and that worked if I burned it nonstop.

I motherfukking never want to smell curry again. Now I make sure no Indians live anywhere around me. :wow:

I’ve also learned that if you pay a premium for an apartment, the walls and ceilings are thicker, and you can’t hear or smell your neighbors at all. It’s worth the extra $500. :blessed:
