Didn’t even realize the new phones were announced today. There was almost zero fanfare or hype across my usual scrolling of the innanet. They really must not be worth talking about this year?
Since the iPhone 15 getting USB Type-C the phones are whatever now. Cell phones are just a mature technology now. Outside of more battery life and a better camera there's nowhere really left to take them.

True that. I have a 15pro and yes, the usb-c and the pro motion screen is enough to keep me satisfied for the next 3 years or so. I would’ve been fine with my 12Pro if it had usb-c

Yeah I was about leave the same kind of comment. Their iPhone conference really lost its aura since there are no real innovations.
Even the iOS 26 update is disappointing, Liquid Glass?
Their other conferences where they talk about the Mac or other products are much more exciting because we can still hope for surprise products.

faster translation with processing on device/less places the data needs to jump. and translation in ear allows for more natural conversations with the things such as the customer service use case
