Had my Macbook Pro since 2008, still works fine to this day, will be buying a new one down the line when I get a more professional job that I will need a laptop for.
and this is pretty much is why I switched to apple. Im testing out for its durability and I've heard nothing but good things about it.

It's like every other piece of electronics you purchase, take care of them and they will be around longer.
I've had a $400 acer that was being clearanced out and still runs like a champ

Anything but a cheap plastic ass samsung, what is your budget?
I mean Im good now. Im currently using a Macbook Air (borrowed from my school kind of "longterm"). I'll probably give this back at the end of the month, pay the $200 fine. Im a part of a couple different facebook groups where I've seen ppl sell 2011-2013 macbook pros for $500-$800 which is what I'll probably do when I get the money.

I got an HP laptop for graduation, in a year and a half it was toast. I went to Best Buy to look at a new laptop and the PC rep came over to me and as I was looking like "I'm gonna be honest, you just got a laptop 2 years ago, and if you buy one of these you'll be back in another 2, get mac

but it was the truth. He said PCs are basically just a hustle now. Macs will last, and their last os update was actually free.
You can also put Windows on a mac, I put windows on because I use Logic and FL studio.
But question, why would you guys buy an iMac instead of a macbook. Space and memory or is there some other reason?

Why the fukk would i want an external blu-ray drive just to hook it up to the macbook. when for all the money im shelling out for the bytch it should be a top of the line already installed blu-ray drive. that should have been apple's thing the minute blu-ray was created. You know how crazy you look to have a $1,500 laptop that doesnt have a blu-ray drive but everything else? WTF
