Apple cost more because every part internally is top of line. Alot of these PC manufactures cut cost on things like wifi cards, sound cards, build quality, and screens. Apple doesn't so it seems like you're getting ripped off but that's not the case. And if you go to these PC manufacturers websites and see how much their top of line models cost they're about in the same Mac price range.

It's just not for you. Doesn't make it overrated. Apple's just not gonna cut corners to lower their prices. Their mobile devices are a whole different story though.

Apples been cutting corners ever since the hardware stop being proprietary....

Iused to think like you, and then two pcs in less than 4 years later Im now fukking with a mac. Ive seen plenty of amazing steals for used ones. Like dude said, if you look around you can get a used 2013 Mac for $600, I've seen it plenty of times

but the spec on them shyts for the money aint that great fam...like I said if u like simplicity and smoothness than u don't need crazy spec cause Mac is mad stable..but depending on what u like to do with ur laptop...spending all that money is not worth it for what u get...I mean they got MacBook pro's with only 320gb hdd's...then the really high end ones are on some bullshyt and not coming with Hdd's at all and only SSD's..and I don't really like that idea cause ssd's don't have the lifespan of a mechanical HDD when theres a lot of workload....

... I partitioned my Mac with windows 7 though... just in case I ever need it . I wonder if you can partition your PC with Mac OS

im trying to buy an old fat model with all the best hardware, i think that is the best thing to do with macs these days since they destroyed the mac. I wouldn't wait for retina display because that is going to jack up the price like another 1000 dollars and the technology is simply not worth 1000 dollars extra. Try to buy older model macs where you can customize the ram etc. and add better parts to it. The new ones are made like iphones where they will force you to upgrade to the better model every year because there is nothing you can upgrade manually.

IMO opinion the only mac right now that is truly worth the money is that new Mac Pro garbage can looking thing, ya it's like 3-4 grand but you can be confident it won't be inferior by the next quarter.

Whatever man....I've been running a Dell 4600 with XP for 9 years now......I'm just now thinking about getting a new PC.

There is nothing you're doing on a MAC that warrant the cost.....And if you think anything on the MAC is "fluid" after they went intel, then I don't know what to tell ya

And then when I go to a friends house and they say "Hey man, can you take a look at my computer ", what type of computer do you think it is? Hint: It's not a Mac

Of course you swapped out plenty of Dell Motherboards because you're comparing 500 dollar hardware to 1500 dollar hardware...There is no comparison....When I copped that Dell, it was high end parts at the time....and its still kicking with the same video card, board, HD, sound card as well....I've only upgraded the RAM...That's it....

I own a 08 mac book pro running Snow Leopard, and I've owned a G3 in the past.....

THere is nothing superior about Macs right now...Nothing....In the past, yes, absolutely....But now the gap has closed significantly and the price range is not warranted....You guys are buying into a lifestyle, not a computer

compared to what? Im sure if you have the absolutely loaded one at 10 grand you can do any type of video editing 3d render decent etc. for the next 5 years. basically if you can't create multimedia on that machine give up and go flip burgers.

Yes, I feel if you not a designer or in any industry that demands a Mac then YOU my friend aren't part of the 1% and a cheaper PC may better suite you.


But yes, fukk that.... Unless you have the cash.... Cop on like eBay or Craigslist. I'm bout to fukk with this one this dude selling for $1000 and only a year old.

The main selling point for me is I'm a graphic designer and his already has every Adobe CS program I have and need plus more like After Effects.

My only wish it's hard drive was a terabyte but I will deal with that
