All these manufacturers outsource to assembly lines though? If you spec out a PC with similar specs to a mac you'll pretty much be at the same price point. Not to mention the amount of usable apps that osx comes preinstalled with compared to the bloatware on pcs.

All this ripoff stuff is just people not getting what Apple is about. They're not trying to sell to every market just anyone who wants to purchase a premium product. If you look at HPs elitebook line or Lenovos ThinkPad line they're premium quality pcs are right around Macbook prices. But then they'll also have their mid and low range for everyone else unlike Apple.

And therin lies the problem there is no midrange laptop for other users who desire it. I'm not paying a G+ for a laptop im just using for the internet, watch movies, and write my shyt. and follow stocks. Apple like i said is overrated.

It's just not for you. Doesn't make it overrated. Apple's just not gonna cut corners to lower their prices. Their mobile devices are a whole different story though.

Every Mac product I've ever bought was worth it.

You should only buy a Mac if you need it and have the money to splurge.

OS X>Windows

...and I was a Microsoft stan before I was made to switch to Macs due to my degree.

Once you go Mac you never go back.

Fluid OS experience.
Top of the line hardware.
Great programs.
...and it doesn't hurt to look at the machine either.

Plus the resell value of a Mac is top notch.

There are people making good money off of reselling 07, 08 and 09 Mac products.

Plus, refurbs is an excellent choice to go if you do not want to spend a lot on new equipment.

Every Dell, Compaq and Toshiba laptop I dealt with have me problems.

Apple products works right out the box.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
iMac and OSX is good if u love stability and simplicity.. But nikkas in here shyttin on Windows is buggin..both Windows and OSX are good depending on what u need them for...for any kinda gaming and programming etc etc.. Go for windows...if ur doing things like art or music related..like say if ur a DJ or recording..iMac is far better cause u RARELY if ever get crashes and require less maintenance...and that's vital...it can make or break a session or a gig...also for people who don't know much about computers..iMacs are better for them cause it's more plug n play..u don't have to do a lot of maintenance...if u don't like being constricted and like having more freedom..I do NOT recommend an iMac...computer experts wouldn't be satisfied with an iMac as their main unit..

Y'ALL nikkaS IS SMOKING CRACK. B! :stopitslime:

Yes its pricey, but those laptops perform better than most of these Windows desktops. You aint got to worry about viruses and such either.

But yeah, you gotta have money in order to own one of those bad boys.

That virus argument is old as fukk. I have been virus free for damn near 10 years already and didn't have to pay a premium to do so.

Again nothing wrong with Apple products, but when I had my iMac I actually booted into windows by default.

I just copped this badboy two days ago, shyt is popping and check that price. Apple is overrated man. spending a G for a laptop is insane. your boy got lucky but there's fools out here that will go to the apple store and get clowned. I dont need all those specs and shyt, i just need it for the internet and to write shyt. im not doing a documentary or editing videos

Iused to think like you, and then two pcs in less than 4 years later Im now fukking with a mac. Ive seen plenty of amazing steals for used ones. Like dude said, if you look around you can get a used 2013 Mac for $600, I've seen it plenty of times

I once thought that too....

until I bought multiple P.O.S. PC's trying to be cheap when I could've bought one Mac for the same price. :stopitslime:

And I've been using said Mac since 2010... Might be time for an upgrade :ohhh:

And my roommate just bought a 2013 Mac with 500GB HD and 8GB Ram for the WHOPPING price of $600... get your hustle on fellas. :shaq:

You're essentially paying for quality, fluid OS, and less maintenance whether doing everyday tasks, multimedia, work, school, etc.

Whatever man....I've been running a Dell 4600 with XP for 9 years now......I'm just now thinking about getting a new PC.

There is nothing you're doing on a MAC that warrant the cost.....And if you think anything on the MAC is "fluid" after they went intel, then I don't know what to tell ya
