YouTube is still essentially unbeatable in their field with no competitor in sight even with ads and Alphabet/Google establishing YouTube Red. Rather have Google buy and develop my company than sell it to Apple.

The haters are confused. Tidal and Jay was supposed to fail last year but its still here. I too doubt he would sell to apple. Too much upside and control for Jay unless they talking snapchat money. In that case I wouldn't be mad at Jay... But having complete control over the distribution of music, movies and media directly to consumers is pretty much the end game. The power is probably more important than the money. But from a business standpoint these type of rumors makes the company more attractive to investors and they can raise a lot of money.
