I know some people here have probably seen the FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early) subreddit, and some of those folks there seem like they're addicted to saving money. Any of y'all like that?
My big problem is that I'm "penny wise and pound foolish". I can be super frugal, and even cheap with most things (severely), but the exceptions are when I go to the casino or I go out with a girl I've already slept with while in another country (i.e. I'm not in town for long and who knows when I'll be back if ever, so let me spare no expense). As for the Casino thing I have sporadic addictions, for example, I'll go months without visiting one, but then when I do, I'll blow 1-2K in a week. As for the thing with the chick(s) I already slept with, I'm still kind of beta in some aspects and "don't want to lose them' (even though there is no real commitment from either side). I figure I can spend less on them when I improve my dikk game and my cooking game (less reason to "date" outside).
Anyway, besides the "write it in your diary" response, any of y'all mostly super savers, but have a small number of things that break (or bend) your saving discipline?
