I knew it changed when I went to the barbershop and they had podcast lighting everywhere....
$10 for the beard, this is why you keep two barbers.
I got a great grade of hair. I can let my shít grow out and be walkin' around with a head of nothin' but curls
I remember the method for being a barber or stylist used to be to have a spouse who has health insurance, because all your money from a “regular” W4 job really just goes to taxes and insurance. If I get paid in cash then I basically get to earn corporate pay with less stress at the price point these barbers are at. If I work 20 hours a week I still bring in $50,000+
In LA there are coworking type spots with units for barbers and stylists. You got people running independent more than ever. You probably pay around $20 for a cut still too. You are the past

Way more Black men have gone natural or get a line up more so than hair cut. My youngest son and most of his friends just get their hairline done. My oldest rocks braids or a big Afro and my next son has locks. I've had locks since 1990.
