PLAIN AS DAY IM ASKING YOU NOW, NOT IN RIDDLES, YOU GREAT VALUE BATMAN VILLAN...HOW IS RELIGION GONNA SAVE US...
Well...it's not.
I would not place any faith in something that claims it'll stop stray bullets from hitting innocent babies.
That would actually be unfair in the grand scheme of things.
There is randomness and there is free will. If there is a God, gods or programmer in a computer simulation - looking to get an analysis of goodness and righteousness in the people it's observing, why would it be consistently stopping the tragedies that occur as a result of free will and randomness?
The type of design that has no badness happen in it would just create robots that aren't truly being challenged.
And again, I haven't even said I believe in a god or not - I'm answering your question as to how can someone rectify the existence of a god considering bad things happen to good people.
FOH
as soon as someone dies we gotta sit in a church for hours and listen to yall ducktales when all we wanna do is pay respect to our homies in peace without all that myth bullsh1t
yes I went to a funeral today (yesterday now)
That's fascinating. Why'd you feel compelled to go to the funeral?
Assuming you're an atheist, I imagine you believe that the person who was your loved one who died doesn't exist anymore, right?
How comical is it for you to pay homage or have a compulsion to do something for someone who doesn't exist?
Why didn't you just skip the funeral? Also, considering the ducktales and how trivial the process is, would you say it's stupid and embarrassing for people to visit people in a cemetery?
How can a person consider him or herself free from the chains and shackles of slavery, when the heaviest chain and tightest shackle remains fastened and unlocked around their mind and spirit?
To imitate your master while cursing him is sickness of the highest degree. To proclaim independence and strength of character while never allowing yourself to form thoughts outside of the confines prescribed to you is utter confusion.
Black Christians are sadly confused, sick and still very much slaves. I don't care who disagrees or is angered by what I'm saying. It needs to be said. We'll go nowhere as a people while embracing the religion of our oppressors.
You say black Christians are enslaved; is it that they are enslaved by the rules and commandments proscribed by their faith?
Let's assume you're right. Wouldn't that imply that anyone who is intentionally restrictive of certain behavior is enslaving themselves?
What is it that prevents you from taking a firearm and sending 4 shots through the windshield of the driver who cut you off and gave you the finger after telling you he would fukk your mother with a broomstick?
Are you an atheist? Do you believe that stealing, hurting, murdering and raping people is not subject to any universal law of goodness or right/wrong?
If you are atheist but do believe in a universal idea of right and wrong, even without the idea of the flying spaghetti monster - what makes your enslavement any different?
It would seem that you would agree that the only person NOT enslaved is the individual who is okay with doing whatever he wants as long as he can get away with it.
Or nah?
